View Full Version : Any windows based parser for existing logs?

I forget the name, but there was a great parser you could run on EQ1 logs and get good numbers for a night of raiding. CS is not working well for me since the update: First, it's under-reporting my own damage on my own real-time monitor. Several other guildies recording have the same number for me - my own CS shows my dps 20-40 lower. Second, paste does not work. The results are not being sent to the clipboard.

Anyhow, at this point I have several 4-12+ mb logs I'd like to parse to see the results over a long night of raiding. Anyone know of a parser I can use to run on the logs? CS doesn't do this, only monitors the database results of your current log, there is no "open existing log" option.

Statalyzer is one that I've used in the past, although it has details where I'm surprised it does, and no details where I wish it did, so opinions about it's goodness will no doubt vary. In any case, you can grab it from here.

I like EQCompanion for parsing -- handles both existing log files and can monitor the live log. In addition it provides many nice and convenient features wnen used against active files (e.g., alerts).

http://home.inreach.com/kai/EQCompanion/

[fixed link (didn't see double http prefix]

Message Edited by Swordmage on 06-23-2005 08:53 PM

That link goes nowhere, was it working recently? Also, isn't EQ companion just for EQ1?

I am still having issues with Combatstats. I can't figure out what my own instance is missing that everyone else's is picking up, but I show consistently 30-40 dps lower in my own real time monitoring than anyone else parsing at raid. The clipboard paste function also only pastes in one early fight result, then re-pastes that same result every time I ctrl-V from then on.

Do your chat options matter? Seems like CS grabs the full log no matter what you have filtered out of the chat window.

It works fine for my warlock, those parses match up with others running CS. But for brigand, something is not picked up.

fixed link in above message

Thanks for the link. That guy should put something on his page pointing out that eqcompanion DOES work with EQ2 ... everything in the descrip is about EQ1.

I'm trying to figure out now how to add more mobs to the table function in there. In so many EQ2 encounters, you want to know the DPS over the whole fight session, not just the one named mob - especially in raids like Drayek or Zalak where you spend time fighting adds while the DPS timer is ticking.

Good program though, thanks much for pointing it out Swordmage!
