<DIV>Well with the patch notes yesterday stating that Craven Walk was now fixed and had a feign death component I eagerly logged in and took a look. With it upgraded to Adept 1, at level 35 the description states. . . </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"Feign Death with a 75% chance of success vs level 31 or lower"</DIV> <DIV>"Feign Death with a 0% chance of success vs level 31 or higher"</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well my first question would be, what the hell happens with a level 31? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My second question would be, is this supposed to provide any real value? At level 35 level 31 or below mobs are green at best, grey at worst. Why would I care if I feigned death at all? For any level range where feign death might be useful I have a 0% chance of success?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Am I somehow misreading it or is this sub-function of Craven Walk completely worthless?</DIV>

<DIV>i havne't had a chance to test it but my lurk spell is 75% chance to work on mobs below 44 *which are grey and non aggro? awesome*</DIV> <DIV>and a 0 % chance to work on mobs 44+   so basically any mob that aggros me while i'm invis'ed  i will immediatelly fall to the ground giving the mob an extra cple second to pummel me  instead of just running right off the bat ;p </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV> <DIV>At least the case with "Lurk" is that the description says 75% chance to work on mobs below 44 - but a 0 % chance to work on mobs 44+. However it does work on mobs above 44 <EM>sometimes</EM> - infact last night I barely managed to avoid getting slain by the Arch Lich Udalan with the FD. One bruiser in the raid mentioned that their feign death would have similar description and the values listed it in would be slightly buggy, but I can't confirm that myself... </DIV></DIV><p>Message Edited by BrizaOrin on <span class=date_text>03-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:08 AM</span>

<DIV>I can confirm that the Craven walk FD component does work on mobs above lvl 31. A couple of days ago i used Craven Walk to sneak up on a yellow mob (with me at lvl 34). I started the fight with a Rake, the mob turned around and hit me and down i went. As this was a static mob i ended up lying at its feet till the FD wore off and he automatically aggroed on me again. I believe (hope) that the CW FD should only work if the mob aggros you, not the other way around because otherwise CW will only be useful when sneaking in areas where you absolutely don't want to fight. I've ended up using my groupsneak for sneaking up on mobs for fightin' purposes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To top it off, this certain mob that, pre-patch, i had no trouble slaying now eats me alive. *shakes fist* dang you ebil devs! :smileywink:</DIV>

<DIV>That is good to hear it works on higher level mobs. I was hoping it was just a mistake on the presentation of the information but I was too cowardly to try it out myself :smileyhappy:</DIV>

If I remember correctly... it should work like sneak with regards to mob level. So a level 31 FD... App1 - only works on 30 and below mobsApp2 - works on 31 and belowApp3 - works on 32 and belowApp4 - (not sure)Adept 1 - works on 33 and below (?)Adept 2 - works on 34 and below (?)Adept 3 - works on 35 and below (?)Personally, I plan on filing a /bug report tonight because I think Craven Walk needs to be a few levels higher (where you learn it at 31, but don't master it until 35).One idea I've had for using it is in mid-fight when the mob turns on me. Fire off my two de-aggro spells, turn off attack then craven walk. If the mob still hits me, I then FD and hopefully it turns back to the tank.

<DIV>I can now also confirm what others have stated, the wording is incorrect. At level 35 running around Zek yesterday I had to run through a lot of level 37-39 mobs for some quests I was doing (history of race quests). I ended up using CW probably approximately ten times and it failed only twice. So in my very small sample size it worked about 80% of the time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That is much higher than 0% :smileytongue:</DIV>
