View Full Version : Forceful negotiations worth a ruby? (adept 3)
<DIV>Trying to decide what to use a ruby on for the 40-49 (50 work for ruby? not sure) adept 3. I was lucky enough to get Run Through master the other day so I don't need that. I'm considering Forceful because it's the only real encounter AE we seem to get, and with the larger number of high count encounters I'm seeing in the higher zones it seems like I could make my own little Brigand Barrage <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But of course, some skills just dont add much for higher qualities. Anyone have FN adept 3 and can tell how much it improved the damage? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The other skill I see coming up is Shiv... but honestly, since Craven delight was so lame compared to hidden shiv (not an upgrade at all from what I can tell, less damage) I'm not expecting much from Shiv over the level 40 training Shank upgrade. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Other suggestions? I'm level 42.8 at the moment.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>forceful is worthless imho, as are all our AE attacks, spare your ruby for any other of the tier 5 attacks, you will want to upgrade them all</DIV>
<DIV>Our ae attacks have to be a bit bugged..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have Restitution Master 1 and it does about 60-75dmg compared to the training ae attack we can get that does if I remember correctly does 55+47+47+47+47 dmg.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And all the training skills are adept2s right?..and you even get the training skill before Restitution?</DIV>

Then you can't use aoes in crowed areas afraid of drawing adds or breaking a mezzers mezz. Focus on taking one down as fast as you can then the next.
<DIV>Forceful is an _encounter_ ae, not one of the blue crap ones that attack everything in radius. Could someone who has upgraded forceful negotiations (not restitution or lower) comment on the damage? Even at adept 1, how's it do? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>got app4 version, was a waste of 10g (I always upgrade crap skills too, who knows, might be worth it someday) hits around 70-80 maybe 100 if buffed up in group, still using the training ae because of the tiny dot it adds</DIV>
<DIV>I might upgrade one day it is not worthless. There are fights that have up to 12 enemies and at (adept I) I do 150-200 each. That is a huge chunk of damage over the entire encounter.</DIV>
<DIV>That's what I was thinking Gyan, if you ever do adept 3 for it could you report back what you get?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>i have adept 1 FN and ive seen 140 come out before but tahst was me heavily buffed to about 250str.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>normally it does about 90- 100.... adp 3 id guess about 105.. i wouldnt bother.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Make sure all of your rear styles are adpet 3 they are the ones you will use primarily 40+ as soloing is just a nono for the average normal person.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>FN is nice but i only really use it for the AGI buff aeing stuff is bad news sometimes, if you get aggro u cant handle, its possible you may "<EM>die like a n00b</EM>" to quote the main tank in my group <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
<DIV>Well which is it? In the other thread, you list out that adept III upgrades are junk, but here you are suggesting them. I think he may be better off selling the ruby.</DIV>

They have encounter based taunts and they are sometimes even stronger then their single ones.<BR>

<DIV>Yeah, FN shouldn't affect anything outside of encounter and it doesn't do enough damage to draw agro from a tanks AE taunt. So no harm should come from it. Still, FN does less damamge then the training skill (though it's a true AE, not encounter based) so it's fairly useless. I wouldn't bother with upgrading it to Adept 3 personally. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Eidt: I forgot to add that while it does break a mez, there are plenty of times when there is no one mezzing. I'm sure we are all smart enough to know when someone is mezzing right? </DIV><p>Message Edited by Kegofbud on <span class=date_text>03-15-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:14 AM</span>
