Don't waste your upgrade on Mugging Training Skill. It's not worth it for the amount of power it siphons from a mob.

Elisi's Merciless Shank - An advanced form of Shank. As a bonus to Shank it deals direct damage at the end of the effect. My guildmate has this skill, and he said he enjoys it. If I recall, he said he was able to get decent damage from it.

<DIV>same here, merciless shank has good initial dmg, decent dot, and a good finishing dmg, and tho I looted an adept 1 shiv, it doesnt get near it</DIV>

<DIV>I actually did choose the upgrade to mug for the reason that it gives 34 power everytime you use it and I am in a raiding guild that uses alot of HOs all with scout somewhere in it. Over the course of a 20 min fight the amount of times I use locke's to start and swap HOs gives me a good chunk of power. While the extra 200-300 damage from upgraded shiv is good, the amount of power i get which in return translates into more damage skills outweighs this extra shiv damage.</DIV>

<DIV>Shank all the way. Does too much damage to not take. </DIV>

Well, I was going to go with Elisi's Merciless Shank... but I chose Tani's Violent Rake instead. (Lowering spell avoidance is a very nice thing to do to mobs.)Here are the details for it (fulfills the same role in HOs, green sword icon):<b>Tani's Violent Rake</b> (level 40 training skill)Power: 63Cast: 1.0s Recovery: 0.5s Duration: 1m12s Recast: 60sBanditry: 200-250- Inflict 173 melee damage on target- Decrease AGI of target by 23- Decrease Spell Avoidance of target by 10This is what it upgraded:<b>Vicious Rake</b>Power: 63Cast: 1.0s Recovery: 0.5s Duration: 1m12s Recast: 60sBanditry: 170-220- Inflict 169 melee damage on target- Decrease AGI of target by 21

<DIV>Wait so the Mug upgrade gives 34power everytime u use it?  Thats not to bad considering the reuse timer on mug and the fact I have little dmg with 0 power.  Also that may not take alot of the mobs poer either but once most mobs are outta power its screws them too.  Although the shiv is tempting I think I'll go for the power for the edge in long fights.</DIV>

One thing I found on an Emporer Fyst fight...It does you no good to have power (I have a PGT, so was often getting 2/3 bubble of power every time that proc'd) if the tank is out of power to keep the mob taunted and off of you.(We wiped at 24%. 48 SK, 48 INQ, 43 INQ, 40 Brigand, 40 Necro. Fyst turned on me twice during the fight and I died both times because I did one too many debuffs in a row without using all of my de-aggro skills.)

I went with EM Shank and would suggest anyone else do the same, its is by far better then Shank. The rest other then the Rake seem mediocre at best. If you want the ability to debuff spell avoidence go with Rake, if you want more damage go with Shank. Neither will leave you looking back wishing you picked the other if thats what you are wondering. <div></div>

I dunno what you guys are talking about, I love Locke's Ruthless Mugging, it's like 40 extra power every 10 seconds.. I run out of power with stacked mana buffs and gebs on. <div></div>

I got a manstone for when I am grouped, and a pgt for when I solo, mug never even entered the equasion for me. I a glad you like it though, good to have more input on our various training options. <div></div>
