View Full Version : Tracking nerfed too?
<DIV>More bad news but it is probably just a bug. It seems when I try to track or even use normal waypoints now you get a message along the lines of it being to far to track or something, and that it is somewhere to the (North, south,. etc). Basically it is like EQ style track. I think this is a bug because group member waypoints seem to work the same way. If not this is total crap.</DIV>

I sent in a bug report on this. I can stand right next to a NPC and tracking will tell me its too far away.

<DIV>tracking was pretty useless anyway, cant tell how many times I saw a mob with my eyes and it still didnt show up in track (normal greens-yellows)</DIV>

They are always there unless they are either con red or they are ^ ^ ^ mobs. The way track starts when you log on is a proximity search. The mobs are ordered by their distance from you. </FONT></DIV> <DIV></FONT> </DIV> <DIV>IF you click the name bar at the top of the track window then you will change to a 3 tier sort (type and con / Captiol letter / alpha). This means 1st it orders by categories like Player Characters and group members at the top, attackable NPCs sorted by con color in the middle, and non attackable NPCs at the bottom. The next thing it sorts within each of those sections is putting names with capitol letters at the top such as named NPCs and several other typs of creatures like "an Evol ..." mobs in feerrott. Then it sorts all sections and sub sections alphabetically.</FONT></DIV> <DIV></FONT> </DIV> <DIV> Track was extremely useful since it now it is impossible to tell the mob's Z-axis. I know the wisp was very buggy sometimes but it was much better then nothing.</FONT></DIV>
