I'm wondering if anyone has any more info on the different sneak skills. Just hit level 19 and got the Smuggler's Talent skill. Does this completely replace Snoop when evenly upgraded or does Snoop have an improved stealth affect when compared to Smuggler's. If Smuggler's is faster and has the same stealth level it seems strange to make a skill obsolete only 2 levels after getting it. Also are Craven Walk and Lurk at Snoop speed or Smuggler's speed? Any info would be appreciated.

Sneak: stealth 15, stealthspeed 2Elisi's Swift Sneak: stealth 22, stealthspeed 3Smuggler's Talent: stealth 21, stealthspeed 4Snoop: stealth 28, stealthspeed 3Craven Walk: stealth 42, stealthspeed 3Lurk: Stealth 49, stealthspeed 4Those numbers are all for adept spells but Lurk was checked when I was level 47 or 48. I'll double check tonight and provide further info on group stealth skills as I don't seem to have those ones written down.Snoop has an improved stealth effect when compared to Smuggler's Talent; but Snoop is not an in-combat stealth IIRC.

<DIV>Ahhh... I was thinking it was a bug that snoop wouldn't work in combat. It would be clearer if they would prevent it from casting at all during combat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is that the only one that is non-combat?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>The only one that is in combat is Smuggler's Talent at that point (Lurk I think is but I'm not there yet). Once you reach the mid to latter 20s Smuggler's Talent is only useful as a combat stealth because it can't sneak past better then a green mob, if that. When you are one level away from Craven Walk you have to depend on Burgle because even Snoop won't get you by a green. </DIV> <P> </P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Kegofbud on <span class=date_text>02-09-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:30 AM</span>

I was actually supprised when snoop wouldn't.

DS your post reminded me of a great use for that training sneak we get, so I'll stick it into this thread. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I was pretty over level when they added in the training options, but I took the Swift Sneak one. It sucks for actually sneaking past mobs, but it will cast while you're in combat, and that cast time is very quick. It also doesn't black out any of the other in-combat sneaks, that I remember.

Now that I know this information, think I might be happier with my decision. Some mobs sure are going to get bushwhacked tonight, hehe.

<DIV>Adept 1 BURGLE is amazing. It makes me invis to mobs none of my other sneak spells can manage. This is a group incis, but due to its effectivness I often use it solo. Very few mobs can see through it, even red mobs 3-4 levels above me in RE.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bloodshade.</DIV>

<DIV>Burgle becomes your best sneak, until you get Craven Walk, for sneaking past higher cons. Snoop will be worthless about the time it turns green. Seems to be a rotation through the sneaks back and forth as they come and go.</DIV>

<BR> <BLOCKQUOTE> <HR> MideonV wrote:<BR> <DIV>The evade one is still easily the best.</DIV><BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE><BR> I concur. With evade adept 3 being better than the evade training option, the quick sneak would be the best choice. I now have a skill I can invis midfight in 1 second to use Bushwhack. It can also be used to trigger the mask icon for HOs. All of our other skills with the mask icon take 3 seconds to cast. With the HO time limit being 10 seconds, the 1 second cast is very valuable for pulling off some of the 3 and 4 part HOs. The quick sneak ability is a great addition to your skills.

<DIV>No, once a fight starts, you cast Smuggler's Talent. For the rest fo the fight, you are in stealthed mode even though it doesn't look it. You'll be able to use Tangling Strike or Bushwack, whatever you have, throughout the encounter.</DIV>

It could be seen as an exploit. It does drop you into stealth mode after the encounter is over if you do use this.
