View Full Version : Warning: Escape Delay Issue

Last night at the TS crater killing giants and skindancers the group was going down fast and the leader called for Evac. I hit ESCAPE just as Bruell the named giant hit me twice for fatal damage. No problem, we just lay there and wait because the chanter lived and gets the priest up. The group gets happily healed, and when it is my turn...POP!Escape restarted as I was rezzed and we are all standing at the docks. [Removed for Content]? We are now a looooong way from where we wanted to be and the group is [Removed for Content].In retrpospect, they shouldn't be mad at me because that is where we would have been if Escape worked as planned. Everyone at the docks but alive without debt. Now that I know the timer will restart after rez, next time I would revive back to South camp instead of waiting for the priest. What a mess.

What a mess.<hr></blockquote>When you pressed the escape button you got killed before it could go off. So when you died it stayed queded(it flash's). So the moment you can use it. POP, it went and sadly did what it did. Next time make sure your escape is not flashing while dead, if so just hit it again and it should go away. If this was not the case then that is a wierd bug that does not occur very often.

Sitting cancels it.

hehe.Yeah, it does seem funny, but sitting cancels any combat art or spell in progress. Had a friend suggest it to me because he got into the habit of sitting to cancel casting rather than moving in dungeon groups where moving slightly either puts you in AE range or risks an add.

<DIV>Yep, anything that can be cast while moving can only be canceled by sitting I think. Things that cannot cast if you move, well those are easy to cancel obviously.</DIV>

Hmmmm, good point, maybe it was flashing while I was dead. It might not ever happen again, but I'll check if it does.
