<DIV>Playing around with my rogue now a brigand, I've noticed a few bugs. I've allready put /bug reports out on them, and I figured I'd share with the forum to see if anyone else has had these experiences.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ruse: Recovery timer states .5 seconds to recover from casting ruse. It appears we do a full scale Feign Death, with a 5 or so second timer running that prevents us from attacking the mob. If we get hit by a monster or spell, the Ruse timer appears to break and we can continue attacking. Others have stated you can hit /sit and then you can immediately continue to attack the monster. Pretty obvious bug IMO.</DIV> <DIV>Also, if you are targeting the main tank who is fighting a mob, and use Ruse, it will not hit the monster. You have to be targeting the monster in order for Ruse to hit. If you use Ruse on a monster and it's the final blow killing the mob, it "dies of pain and suffering" and you get no xp or loots. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rash advance, and fancy footwork: I've noticed when useing these skills in combat, it shows the recast timers to be 30 secs for Rash, and 60 for Fancy footwork. The recast timers do not take effect till AFTER the skill has worn off on your timer, effectively making the recast timers on these abilities 60 and 90 seconds. </DIV> <DIV>Also while in combat, if you use Fancy or Rash, and pay attention to your buff bar, you can recast the ability mid fight to extend it for "free". Once the ability is hit again, THEN the recast timers start to count down. </DIV><p>Message Edited by Dubreken on <span class=date_text>12-21-2004</span> <span class=time_text>12:10 PM</span>

<DIV>Saying that the reset timers on rash advance and fancy footwork are bugged is like saying the refresh time on snoop is 12 hours 30 seconds. The snoop refresh will not start until the ability is either clicked off or runs out. I am pretty sure this is working as intended to avoid these abilities from not having any recast timers at all.</DIV>
<DIV>ALL helpful bugs get fixed before any harmful ones. I had to see this myself before I believed it but trust me if I could even begin to list the nerfs that have come by that most people dont even know about, I would be here for an hour. People that didn't know about the bug dont see nerf because the patch notes are so generalized that you cant tell it is bad.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ANYWAY the point it if you ever want the large bugs that annoy people to be fixed (example: buff bug, fear players through walls bug, cham player = yelled fight bug, etc, etc, etc) then DON'T tell them about small benificial bugs until AFTER they fix the real problems. You can bet they would rather spend development time keeping a low populated class from doing a few extra damage in a fight, then they would fixing any kind of real problem.</DIV>

<DIV>I have not noticed any problem with Ruse not givng EXP or quest items/credit. Maybe it did it in the past but I and my friend routinely kill mobs with Ruse and have never had a problem with those things. Plenty of drops given as well.</DIV>
<DIV>its not killing mobs that is the bug it is finishing the entire ENCOUNTER like last mob in encounter. Also the xp part is only on mobs with a "group" label. You will get normal xp from each mob but no bonus xp which is where most of it is. If the mob is a single mob but group labeled like a ^ ^ mob then the same is true if you kill with ruse all you get is normal xp not the bonus. </DIV>
<DIV>There IS a bug with ruse. Last night my guild was doing serpents lair and we were fighting the named. Can't think of the name but I caught aggro and rused finishing it off and poofed the encounter. Boy did i feel bad. Big timer to redo it too /.</DIV>

I'm not certain if this is a bug or not.The ability Rake, that is a back positional attack that is supposed to decrease the agility of the target, doesn't show a status icon to show its working. For example, when you use dirty tricks you see a status icon that tells you its working and how long the effect will last but that effect doesnt occur with Rake. That means one of two things I figure, Rake is unresistable and permanant and therefore needs no icon, or its bugged and isnt affecting agility at all.I'll continue some testing but hopefully its the former and not the later. Also if any higher level brigands could see if the higher level debuffs show icons or not that would be great.
<DIV>I've seen rake icons when mobs (snakes) use it on me.</DIV>

Rake and its upgrades leave no icon in the effects window. Hidden shiv does, shank does not. (Both have dot effects, and they stack so Shank ought to have one too). Mug leaves an icon. Our art that allegedly does a combat speed slow does not leave an icon. Stun styles don't leave an icon, so they need to be double-fixed to actually leave an icon for the duration and to actually stun, not mez for 2 seconds.Ruse bugs quest encounters as mentioned, but it's safe to use on any set of grouped mobs except for the last one. If you kill the last mob in a grouped set with ruse, you lose the bonus exp for that mob.

Pretty simple. And yeah, the stun durations are crap. As a supposed 'upgrade', Blackjack is basically useless next to Cheap Shot, both for interrupting casters and for solo'ing.
Some mobs get rake, but they don't have to be behind you to use it. Its duration is one minute and it takes away a lot of agi.LammyHighkeep Brigand
