<DIV>Hi guys,</DIV> <DIV>     This may seem a silly question, but thought I'd ask anyway.  I have a level 20 Shadowknight and an almost lvl 19 Rogue (to be Brigand)...and have noticed some things I was wondering if you could answer for me.  This isn't a who does more damage or whatever thread there are plenty of arguments *tiresome*.  The fact is for the most part my lil rotonga rogue is more fun to play overall, with one exception.  Already at lvl 20 the SK has some really cool animations for actions during combat (or even wards)...demonic red bulls for one, spinning ghostly shields for another...lightning, black smoke erupting at his feet upon casting, harm touch has a purplish skeleton that devours the target etc.  I find that to make the game slightly more immersive and cool.  Yeah, end justifies the means but getting there is still gotta peak your interest.  My question is, do Brigands start getting any cool animations, wisping lights, or glowing pretties *LOL* at higher levels or do I get to look forward to the most exciting moves being maybe a glowing sword as I do a slow motion jump swiping at my target??  It seems every class I've looked at has some cool visuals except us scouts....I mean druids heal and leaves fly into the targets or vines erupt from the person they ward, etc...at my stage in the game...I find myself getting excited when a red shower of particles falls around my head with Rash Advance!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does it get better post 20?  Are there plans to add some "umph" to our visual immersion since we (and other scouts) seem jipped in that department?  This isn't so much whining as a post to gather info from those of you higher levels based on your gameplay and experience...what are you seeing?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks so much in advance for taking a moment to peruse my rather trivial observations  :smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Jascal - Ratonga Rogue</DIV> <DIV>Antonia Bayle RP (yeah that's roleplay for the uber-l337zers out there)</DIV><p>Message Edited by brodiemcd on <span class=date_text>12-21-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:32 AM</span>

<DIV>Circular strike in beta had a very cool graphic of flying through the air spinning in circles with your weapons extended to your side.  But they took that away from us 2 weeks before release :smileysad:</DIV>

<DIV>As for the comment about playing a mage... yeah that would make really good sense only spellcasters aren't the only ones that get it...fighters even get some cool animations (burning/flaming weapons, charging bull wards, spinning shields, etc).  If it was spell caster exclusive not only would it make more sense but wouldn't have raised my question at all.  I know us scouts dish out some major butt-kicking, no argument there.  Just was polling the brigands further along to see how/if the animations got better with levels to be on par with every other class in the game.  They made this game pretty visual in the first place, seems like they just dropped the ball when they got to scout *shrug*.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My roomie played a scout in EQ1 and told me I had a lot of animations for a scout in comparison to the previous game.  That's cool.  I mean hey, if you're not doing something special without a weapon it sorta makes sense to have the animations...but with a weapon (unless it's magical) it shouldn't...makes sense if it were across the board.  Maybe if they tweaked our wards like Street Smarts, Fancy Footwork, Rash Advance, etc so they animated something other than a glow like every other class ward series in the game (barring the pre-lvl 10 generic ones like HO, Toughness, etc).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dunno, was just a thought to add a little luster and shine to a true workhorse in the game. :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*side note* - as for "just go play a spellcaster", I have a SK, Sorcerer and Shaman as well...but for roleplay I find my rat pirate more easy to character play with. hehe.</DIV><p>Message Edited by brodiemcd on <span class=date_text>12-22-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:51 AM</span>

I think brigands get some of the better combat animations in the game. WE also get a TON of posistional attacks that look pretty nice, I believe SoE said something about a combat animation optional download soon to be on test, probally should check it out.

<DIV>alot of the animations are the same, but it sure is funny to watch me throw my little ratonga body at mobs, the sheer speed of styles is good enough for me, madly jumping back and forth doing posistional styles while the others recycle.  Its alot more fun that standing in the front motionless just slugging it out with the mob.</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks Talent and Efour...good info and feedback.  I'll keep my eyes open for that optional download or whatever sounds interesting. I appreciate the comments.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
