Half the groups I'm in, tanks just open it up and take the hit cause they're impatient. Pathfinding? People want SoW or nothing, apparently. Only thing left is Tracking, which is almost never requested, for all the use it has.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not that I MIND being used as a damage dealer... but I kinda thought our group sneak and other facets would have more use!</DIV>

<DIV>Damage, tank in a pinch, group stealth (if you can explain to new players in advance how not to break it in the middle of aggro mobs), damage, disarm (really, any group over level 15 should know to let the scout disarm, politely inform them if they don't understand), escape (25+), damage, interrupting spellcasting mobs, doing long distance pulls (snares and linked-mob-snares really help with this if a group wants to park somewhere in an outdoor zone), damage, knocking annoying players on their [Removed for Content], and did I mention damage?</DIV>

Disarming traps? if your group is triggering the traps natural selection will allow you to out level them and join the ranks of those of us that learned better. SoW? I also play a druid and anyone who thinks Im gonna keep sow running on 6 people at the same time when a scout is in the group is out of their bloody minds. And of course Tracking....oh tracking how we love you....and everyone else will too once they realize it. Keep in mind that scouts in general and rogues in particular are a very different beast than what people are used to. We have an amazing amount of utility that most people don't realize, in fact many of us haven't even realized what our true potential is. Remember that EQ2 isnt a game of doing one thing and only one thing, every class can and SHOULD be doing multiple things at once depending on the situaton. Don't look for formulaic solutions, develop your own strategies and use your skills to their uptmost power and advantage. Let your imagination go and do the things that everyone tells you you cant do, then turn and laugh at them when they pick their jaws up off the floor and ask you "how did you do that?!"

<DIV>Im level 40, and the leader of a big name guild. Brigands in groups, lets face it, the main focus is DPS, some people dont realize how much DPS we do. We dont do it in large shots, but rather, damage over time. We have so much more mana for larger encounters too. It is our balancing factor IMO. Only thing I am really [Removed for Content] about is, we dont really have a skill that makes us unique. Ive been blistering Sony to add something that only WE, and Swash's can do. Such as a sneak that allows us to remain running, or a pick pocket of some sort. I like our DPS balance, but I dont like that we have sneak, disarm, while all other scout classes get that as well. To be honest, high end burgle (level 39) doesnt do crap anyhow for most groups, because most mobs in Permafrost and Cazic see through it anyhow. I dont like that either, see sneak mobs need to unless they are named. It kills the point of our class. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Generol,</DIV> <DIV>Legacy</DIV>

Smuggle and the group-stealths are just infinitely useful, you can literally pass through levels to do quests that would be impossible if you weren't four levels higher. You have to consider their utility on a general basis, though. Frankly another person who can take some damage while dealing it out for a while is infinitely useful, being able to control hate in your group and deal out damage is really powerful. As a mage I often find I'm not doing much, and my Swashbuckler never has that problem. There is always something for a good rogue to do, always.</DIV>

<DIV>I'm supprised no one here has really mentioned debuffs more. In the upper 20's the game starts to change and you will be fighting alotta red ^^. Some are very hard to OR just to high to hit, you'll just wiff, wiff, wiff and maybe land 1 swing outta 10. What I do is hit risky advance and knockaround right off the bat. It helps tremendously. Not just yours but other melee's that would just wiff wiff at there lvl will be able to hit them helps a ton. </DIV>

I am usually the lowest level in groups and those red ^^ are impossible to hit without these. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't see stuns as being extremely useful unless I'm soloing. I have thought up some more uses, but haven't really tried them out.</DIV> <DIV>I love the group stealths and the more evened out dps. It's also nice to through a taunt (however wimpy it is) at a mob attacking your healer/mage until the tank can get the power taunts off.</DIV>

<DIV>Stuns are awsome, yes they are breakable by the mob getting hit, but for that split second when you stun you have the chance of stoppinga single attack from a mpb. <DIV> They may be more like Mezzes but they also break casting and some do damage. Granted they don't last nearly long enough, but they do have use.
