View Full Version : Best healer to duo with Brigand?
<DIV>What healer is best?..anyone tried something that worked great in a duo with Brigand?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I tried druid but seemed to have problem keeping aggro when dmgshield was up.</DIV> <DIV>Shaman wards seem to have stacking issues but not with any brigand skills though?</DIV> <DIV>And Clerics..well have no oppinion about them yet.</DIV>
<DIV>/shrug, I never had the benefit of duoig with a healer. I have however for the life of my character duod with a coercer when I am not in a full group and it makes for a very interesting combo.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Azrom on <span class=date_text>12-17-2004</span> <span class=time_text>04:27 PM</span>

<DIV>Fury by far for me has been the best. Between their super agility buff, savagery ( slashing proc ), eel ( crushing proc + enduring breath <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, lion form ( adds agi + a wee bit of str ), you literally cease to be a just another rogue, and become a walking archon of death. We're doing white double ups with no major down time, blues double ups pretty much chain pulling, Of course as usual your mileage may vary. I guess everyone has their favorites hehe <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>inquisitor can wear heavy armor so they make an effective tank as long as they can keep aggro (but u got some forget hate skills)</DIV>
<DIV>So Fury is better than Warden?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They both seem to give the same agi with buffs but warden procs heals and fury proc more dmg?</DIV>

<DIV>Not sure on warden, but fury does give you offensive procs.</DIV> <DIV>Inquisitors are handy too if you let them tank <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>I'd say probably Shaman/Defiler, because Brigands have a fairly low AC compared to real tanks, and are mostly avoidance tanks. The reason a shaman is good is because wards basically ignore AC, but they only kick in when you're hit. Using your parry buff you can deflect more attacks, and when you are hit the ward will suck up the damage. Not having a ton of HP also isn't such a liability when using wards, since they absorb damage before you take it. </DIV>
<DIV>Me (rogue lvl 16), my boyfriend (druid lvl 16) and an assassin (lvl 17) were all doing the betrayer quest and had to kill a yellow^^ at the time. Lets just say the assassin decided to tank, and the druid put on one of his heal over time buffs. The assassin was at full health for all of the fight. I got the aggro half way through, but there was no problem keeping my healed. Nettle shield is also very handy when doing mobs that take longer to kill than regulars.</DIV> <DIV>Saying that though, my boyfriend also has a shaman and I had to kill another named for my betrayer quest. A yellow^^ -- we duo'ed him without any trouble at all. Only person who was slightly low on mana was me... but that's because I was chaining HO's to get him killed faster... I hate fights taking 10minutes to end :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Both the above encounters, the druid was concentrating on heals, whilst I done my thing in the damage. Okay, I was lacking with the flanking and behind damage, but with chain ringing blows, it doesn't take long....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've not had experience with a cleric, and I know me and my boyfriend aren't exactly high, but I thought I'd share my experience. In other words, from what I've seen, it's very do-able with shaman or druid, they just bring different things.</DIV>

Templar here.I dou with a friend assassin. He pulls, i do a group buff and the creature is on me for the fight. Lets him rip them down as long as he doesn't over do the specials. If it's a pull of more than 3 oponents we let him tank (my spells will get interrupted too often = dead templar = dead assassin) and I have no problem keeping him healed. This is in the mid 20's against even and lower + mobs and the occasional yellow mob. anything more difficult than that and we get in trouble.Works best if you can get a third though.
<DIV>i do not think that scouts duo with healers well. We come to our power when we nice away from the damage behind of the enemy pocking MOB with various sharp objects, so in most cases, any healer that can tank the best would do the trick. Personaly though, I would pick good tank who knows how to hold an agro over a healer for duo any day of the week because if we need heals, we probably took on mob stronger then we should have.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Having said that, i do not mind taking hit or 2 to share the damage with the main tank while my sneak and backstabs recycle and I am in proccess of my HO for example, but most of the times, no tanking for me.</DIV> <DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I did not get to brigand in particular yet, and with stuns I am reading about, they probably have more ways to get flanking atack off while having agro on them, so I could be wrong.</DIV></DIV>
