Hey. I read Brigands get a Wood Elf, and an Ogre disguise. Could that be changed so that you can pick like you do for the traits? I'm a Wood Elf who spent a few days betraying so I could be a Brigand, and now I find I could of been a Wood Elf at 40, I think. Maybe at like 40 get a like, Elven Disguise, where you'd get a choice from High Elf, Wood Elf, or Half Elf. Or maybe like Qeynos Disguise where you could pick a neutral or goodies disguise. And then when you get the Ogre Disguise, well I don't care, cause I'm not Ogre, but maybe get a choice of Freeport Disguise, pick an evil, or neutral disguise. What does every one think? This could be applied to Swashbucklers too, and whoever else has illusions of other races.

P.S. I know I'm a little low level to be complaining, but I'm more making a suggestion.

That's one of the things I hated about eq 1s enchanter illusion spells...

Invariably you turned out to be the absolutely most godawful looking player for that entire race.

I hope we can set up the look too

Its a fluff ability. If they are going to change it, I would hope they change it to something useful that had effects for PvP servers or Standard servers. Little things like because you disguise your race, you can appear as a good Qeynosian citizen and buy from their merchants, walk around unharassed in their cities, etc.

M

One of the worst changes in EQ1 was when they took this ability away from using racial illusions. As if every guard knows everyone on sight in every city. Yes it's very useful but ultimately it's not going to imbalance the game. I mean frankly who cares if someone walks around your city (I play PvP). And it's also a good excuse to throw in true seeing type abilities to pierce disguises. So imagine some random/key guards having the ability to see through your little illusion. Imagine certain player classes or items that allow you to pierce illusions. For every powerful ability there's a way to put a check in place to offset it. Early EQ 1 with useful racial illusions was the only time I enjoyed illusions, that and the later ones like werewolf and scarecrow that gave you cool abilities. EQ2 needs to take a lesson from that and add some bonus to these illusions and different forms. Wolves/Lions/Bears should go back to getting some type of claw/bite proc. Turning into a fairy/cat(other winged being) should actually give you a minimal safe fall (say a Safefall Skill equal to the spell lvl or Char lvl, ie lvl 20 spell = 20 safefall, lvl 40 char = 40 safefall). It's just dumb that Cat Form Druids and other winged forms take falling damage from small little falls. The serpents/beavers should get a swim bonus. All kinds of things you could do. They can be minor as long as they do something.
