<DIV>I just wanted to see about getting a comprehensive list of Posions, effects initial damage, Damage over time etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am also curious to know if stacking poison is effective at all.  I mean, If i stack 15 poisoins, amd I going to be one shot killing mobs, or will only the first, last or w/e go off?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Basically I see theres almost no info about poisons, and I feel they are an intrical part of our class, so pleae. Post your experiences. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also figured theres a few number crunchers in our midst.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Normally i use 2 poisions.  Crypt Sludge, and Carress of the Phantom.</DIV>

<DIV>Can we use poisons as just a rogue?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is there somewhere i can read up on how to use them, where to buy them, or something?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'd be interested in buying/making some...as i have way more money than i need(nearly 2g at lvl 16).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Yes, poisons are usable as a Rogue, you have access to Acidic and Abrasive Goo, Acidic is higher from memory. I really don't know too much about poisons, none of them have any description and I don't have the money yet to experiment too much.</DIV>

<DIV> <DIV>Im lvl 12 rogue, I've been using acidic goo and eventide. 1 dose lasts for 12 hours and its only 36 coppers. Acidic goo usually hits for 25-35 dmg about 1-3 times a fight (depending on duration of encounter). This is an excellent addition to DPS at this level. I don't know if poisons will still be available or will be as effective at later lvls though. I even consider chosing alchemy as tradeskill just to craft poisons. It would be nice if a high lvl rogue/brigand (or other poison using class), tells us the role of poison at higher lvls.</DIV></DIV>

<DIV>Hello, the 1 and only Brigand leading the pack at<FONT color=#ff3333> Level 34 </FONT>here.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lv 30 poisons are all you can use at this level until lv 40. (talking about merchant only not sure what alchemist can do) </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In my expierience normally 2 hit at once if you have all 5 on. I am still not sure which ones do what since I always have them all on.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When they hit the combined damage is normally around 100. usually 80 and 19. I have had a few exceptions where they have done a little more or little less but maybe that was some of the other posions I have on that dont hit often.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Consistancy on them procing vairies alot. I have had fights where none get used at all or only 1 is. I have also gone [Removed for Content] crazy in a fight and probably did an extra 800+ damage to the mob.</DIV>

<DIV>Also about poisons there is one thing I cant figure out and they dont tell you. I think they have a certain number of times they will proc before they go away and not just a time limit. I know they say 12 hours but I have some that go real fast and it is not always the same type of poison that gets ahead of the others. The only explaination I can think of is that they have a number where if they land that many times they are completely used up and need to be reapplied.</DIV>

<DIV>Im not certain that stacking poisons is doing anything.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lets say 1 poison has a 10% chance of going off. I have not seen any evidence so far to conclude that stacking 5 poisons will give a 50% chance of going off. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also when you have 5 stacked and it does go off, you still only get the normal 2 hits.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Perhaps certain poisons go off more often against different types of mobs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else messed around with this ?</DIV>

<DIV>Stacking poisons will do nothing more than give you backups when your active poison wears off. Only one can be active at a time. The reason you see two firing at once is beause poisons work as both a direct damage hit and a damage over time as well. The type of poison you use determines what kind of damage you get, i.e. some have a high dd and low dot, some have a low dd and high dot, and others are more balanced. There's a thread or two talking about poisons in the main Scout forum, I'll edit a link in here when I find it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit:</DIV> <DIV>Here's the original poison thread: <A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=31&message.id=460" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=31&message.id=460</A></DIV> <DIV>And here's Erasmus' guide: <A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=31&message.id=1500" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=31&message.id=1500</A></DIV><p>Message Edited by Tessius on <span class=date_text>11-30-2004</span> <span class=time_text>08:40 AM</span>
