<DIV>You purchase your 20+ abilities (including Clobber) at the circle of Trainers in North Freeport, just north of the Warrior and Spellcaster buildings.  It's the darkelf that's sitting down.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think the refresh on Clobber is a typo or something, the Coercer fluff ability at 20 that makes people dance is only on like a 12 second recovery timer, while Clobber is on a 600.  :robotmad:</DIV>

<DIV>Is it just me or are any other Brigands having problems using the CLOBBER and STRANGLING SHOT skills?</DIV> <DIV>I cannot get either to work. The strangling shot used to up until about 3 updates ago. The clobber just never has.</DIV>

<DIV>You have to be flanking them or behind them for Clobber to work. It does tell you this if you are not. I had a fun time showing this to my group last night. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Alercas</DIV> <DIV>20 Brigand</DIV> <DIV>Butcherblock server</DIV> <DIV>Shadow of Sun Tzu</DIV>

<DIV>I have tried this skill several times and everytime is says, "must be behind or flanking the target". Ive never got this one to work and before you say something, yes im a 22nd level Brigand, i know how to flank and stay behind targets. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I mean after all my backstab attack works but never have i gotten a club attack off. And by definition flank could be done from the side like distracting blade or sneak attack. But again nothing....</DIV>

<DIV>I boguht ti last night form NF at the trainer as stated earlier. I keep forgetting to try it out. Does it actually knock the person down and do they see things change like they fell? This would be all the difference in the emote. lol</DIV>

<DIV>It knocks them straight on their back like bludgeon does on mobs.  I tried it on a guildy caster to see if it messed with their casting, but they just got straight back up and kept on casting.</DIV>

<DIV>Try using it on a fury when he's in cat form... Reminds me of those goats you see on tv that fall over and play dead when they hear a loud noise... Haven't gotten to do a bear form shaman yet though...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also if you're playing a female char, make sure you /flirt or /flex at someone, undoubtedly they will flirt or flex back, run behind em and bean em     :smileyvery-happy:</DIV><p>Message Edited by Clawblade on <span class=date_text>12-07-2004</span> <span class=time_text>03:06 PM</span>

<DIV>I'm actually semi upset with our fluff power.  Yes I realize it's fluff, but it seems unfair that some classes get fluff that actually effects things in game.  Namely the fact pally/sk get faster speed than pathfinding via fluff horse, while we get to hit our own group mates.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They get speed boost letting them move through regions quicker while solo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We get to make the group laugh once if they haven't already seen clobber 40 billion times by now.  I would of said more than once but usually your group stops caring or noticing after the first time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>/rant+sarcasm off</DIV>

Ya, Clobber isnt great on its own... you gotta rogue it up a bit...For instance...Before we start, i usually say out loud "TANK TEST!!!!"Andd knock him on his butt..Then say "I dunno guys, this one drops pretty quick, maybe we should look for another"....Or for the chanter "Gnome Punting"''''''Just gotta play it up a bit, its almost as much fun as when someone wants to relog to clear the memory leak, you wait till he camps out, and group stealth, so when he logs back in hes alone in the middle of the dungeon <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I can't wait, this skill sounds sooooo fun. I will walk over to people in my group. Point at a object, they turn around. Then BAM he falls. lol
