<DIV> <DIV>Ok... so I'm back after almost a year break, played about 10 hours this weekend and I think I'm getting the hang of things, but I'd like to get the opinions of my fellow swashy's to see if there is room for improvement on my tactics...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Currently, I'm 69 with below average weapons and armor (from being gone a year). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>POISONS</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>* Life tap</DIV> <DIV>* Attack speed debuff</DIV> <DIV>* Mitigation debuff</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>SOLO</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If target is stealthable...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>* Brazening (Stealthed attack which stuns)</DIV> <DIV>* Plunder (back attack)</DIV> <DIV>* Guile (back attack)</DIV> <DIV>- By now, they are facing me</DIV> <DIV>* Razor Point</DIV> <DIV>* Uncanny Response</DIV> <DIV>* Fury of Blades</DIV> <DIV>- Then I start my HO series</DIV> <DIV>- At this point, I'll wait for back attacks to refresh, then use Walk the Plank or Cheap Shot to get the back attacks off</DIV> <DIV>- If I'm feeling especially spree, I mez, stealth and stealth attack - followed by back attack</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If the target is not stealthable, I'll open with range... then jump into </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>* Razor Point</DIV> <DIV>* Uncanny Response</DIV> <DIV>* Fury of Blades</DIV> <DIV>- Then I start my HO series</DIV> <DIV>- At this point, I fall into the above routine</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any comments, suggestions, etc?</DIV></DIV></DIV>

<div></div><div>Here is how I handle soloing:Poisons:* Life Tap* Enfeebling PoisonCA order:* Brazening* Guile* Lung Puncture* Dazzling Steel* Double Cross (usually trigger an HO before this one, this one helps lowers chance of Razor point/WoB being avoided)* Razor Point (lowers parry to help prevent Whirl of blades from missing)* Whirl of Blades (lower mit before plunder for maximum effect, Guile should still be up)* Cheap Shot* Jump behind and hit with Plunder* Uncanny Response* Devious Blade* Gaudy Strike* Impair* Lucy Ploy (if I feel like it)* Mez and repeat if necessaryIf the mob sees stealth then I will open with ranged, move to a safe location and mez him, stealth and follow above order.Depending on the mob I will use our special attacks.I will use En Garde with Ruthless cunning right after I get the first few back attacks off so it will have the most chance to proc off the CAs.I will use Perfect Finesse with Inspiration if the mob is especially difficult.</div><p>Message Edited by Delowen on <span class=date_text>01-23-2007</span> <span class=time_text>03:56 AM</span>

<P>Thank you for all the replies. The soloing tactics seem sound... thanks!</P> <P>What about group tactics? Other than throwing in hate redirectors and hate decreasers... anything special other than spamming? What about poisons? Any tactical advantage to spamming arts in a special order?</P> <P> </P>

<div><blockquote><div><blockquote><hr></blockquote><blockquote>metallica093 wrote:Why would you not use En Garde + Inspiration seeing as how they're both on the same timer and one benefits the other?<hr><div></div></blockquote> </div></blockquote>actually, these skills are mutually exclusive. If you hit, Inspiration procs and does its extra damage, if you miss, it doesn't proc.If you are blocked, parried, deflected or riposted, Inspiration does not proc because you haven't hit, En Garde will trigger but will not cause Inspiration to proc, Inspiration will only proc off a direct hit (auto attack or CA), not a proc.</div>
