<DIV>I don't raid a lot, but it's beginning to look like I'll be doing at least a Labs run every week. I need tips on three fights ....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The named Beholder, the one that shields itself against melee weapons ... should I just debuff & hang back until the shield drops, or what?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Corsolander ... I don't know how to joust very well, yet, so I ended up staying at range, spamming Constraint & Berate, & occasionally running in for a Brazening or Razor Point or something. I felt useless, but if I got too close, I got squashed. Any tips on how to feel like I'm useful in this fight?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lord Vyemm ... geez, positioning is a b***h. I can't seem to get "behind" him, ever, without getting tail-lashed or Scream'd. Any tips?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The rest of Labs I can handle, but those three fights .... <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

You will still proc poisons and any other procs that read "on an attack".  Our guild has been downing him before he switches for months now.</font></div> <div>The Corsolander ... Any tips on how to feel like I'm useful in this fight?</div> <div> <font color="#ff0000">Crosolander has a huge damage shield that hurts you even if you hit with a ranged weapon from inside the radius.  If he gets close don't attack.  I jump in to use traumatic swipe, but other than that it is a strictly ranged fight for us.  Goes much faster with a Paladin who can amends you highest DPSing ranged attacker.</font></div> <div>Lord Vyemm ... geez, positioning is a b***h. I can't seem to get "behind" him, ever, without getting tail-lashed or Scream'd. Any tips?</div> <div> <font color="#ff0000">If you are behind him you will get tail lashed.  Both his attacks are cones, so you could try to flank but this is what I do.  <u>Stand on his foot</u>.  Basically act like you are one of his rear legs.  That is the easiest and most reliable way to get position I have found.  It also makes it easy to adjust should he spin.</font></div> <div>The rest of Labs I can handle, but those three fights .... <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><hr></blockquote></div>

If I have nice group buffs I do more with auto attack.  If I had a better ranged weapon it would be worthless to use Hail of Steel.  Long story short, you don't need it.  If you have an extra loam around then pick it up, but other than that it isn't worth getting.</div>

<P>I wouldn't say Hail of Steel is useless, as it does have its uses, if you can get a master cheap, buy it, but don't spend money for ad III.</P> <P>The eye boss, if your raid dps is good, just sit back and arctic throw or just auto attack for the poison proc. You're not going to parse on this guy no matter what anyways so debuff and poison proc are pretty much it.</P> <P>The Corsolander I usually sit barely within debuff distance and throw, use arctic and sometimes even hail is fine. Use your two range debuffs and don't worry about parses on this guy either. It is expected to get low parse on this guy.</P> <P>Lord Vyemm is fun. Sometimes I get agro whether I want it or not. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Just sit by his back leg and cycle through your normal hits. Make sure you get your TS in to slow down his ae's and you should outparse everybody on this guy. If you get agro, hit your de-agro and move to the tank asap. He drops the sword of rage which is great for swashy/brig(s). It's not the best, but it's a good sword. Venekor drops a better one.</P>
