Raid performance since EoF?

Am I the only one feeling that melee dps are getting the shaft lately?With damage shields and aoe knockback/stun/fear/instant-death, I often find myself doing <500dps when previously I used to do upwards of close to 2000ish. Of course this does not apply to all encounters, but at least half of the major raid targets since EoF seem to fall into these categories.My main problem with this is that the mages and rangers just stand in the background, out of range of the aoe, doing full dps. How the hell is this balanced? I'm afraid that at this rate, all too soon we will see raids comprised of just a couple tanks, a handfull of healers, and a ton of mages. Are melee scouts being phased out?<div></div>

Funny I thought in general my DPS went up overall since EoF even before AA's were filled.

I get both. Im getting more dps than ever before, but there are also many mobs now where its ranged autoattack and I may aswell go make coffee. In MMIS those damned golems once they put that debuff on you ... arggg.... And of course the almighty Mr One Night in the Castle ....Seems EoF introduced a lot more mobs where ranged beats melee hands down. But thats not such a bad thing in my opinion. Some of the raid tactics we now use are kinda interesting (if stressful).
