<DIV align=left>"Infuriates the target towards the swashbuckler, increasing hate towards the swashbuckler, interrupting them, and dispelling magic and mental-based benefits on the target. "</DIV> <DIV align=left> </DIV> <DIV align=left>OK, this is the description of this skill and I have to say I'm a little confused about what this means and why I would use it. </DIV> <DIV align=left> </DIV> <DIV align=left>Infuriates the target toward the swash-OK pretty easy to understand-it makes the MOB really really mad at me. Now given that I have other stuff to reduce hate-and I need to back stab and keep the MOB off me, why would I use this?</DIV> <DIV align=left> </DIV> <DIV align=left>interrupting them-who is "them"? the MOB or me? Why would I want to be interrupted? Interrupt the MOB? -dont' regular hits and skills do that? </DIV> <DIV align=left> </DIV> <DIV align=left>dispelling magic and mental based benefits ont he target-OK I get this part-it drops their buffs. Is it worth it to get the hate gain?</DIV> <DIV align=left> </DIV> <DIV align=left>I guess this is something a tanking swash might use? Maybe soloing when I'm already getting all the aggro?</DIV> <DIV align=left> </DIV> <DIV align=left>Is it useful? </DIV>

I use this in almost every fight to keep the MOB Debuffed.  The hate gain is couteracted by Hideaway then leads you right in to Brazening.<div></div>

<P>I'll use it once in a while when grouped or raiding to try and debuff a mob if I have my hate transfer on someone. I'll also use it to intercept an add before the add finds a squishy to play with. It's also good in the event that the tank loses a mob, you can taunt the mob and have it go for you then use Hideaway to send it back to the tank.</P> <P> </P>

<P>I use Berate all the time, & rarely pull aggro. If the tank is any good, you don't need to worry about it, & it's good for interrupting mobs, as well as dispelling buffs from them.</P> <P>Besides, as others have said, if you DO pull aggro, Hideway flips it back to the tank, & it's back to Brazening <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<P>and the more hate  you gain the more that is transfered to the tank. Helping them hold agro <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Use it wisely. great to debuff the enchanter or bardy types out there.</P>

<P>I'm not so sure about swarthy disorder transfering hate gained by Berate.  At least this discussion came up a while back and it was decided that only damage done to an NPC was transfered. </P> <P>I guess the best way to test this would be you stand there with no buffs on you, have someone standing next to you, turn off all your stuff that may reposte and do damage back to the npc.  Place your SD on the guy standing next to you, taunt with berate and use hideaway or Elude, given the value of hate decrease on Elude is higher than the gain from Berate.  I'm at work atm so I can't verify Elude is higher or this would work even.  Hideaway may give a false positive as it lowers your spot on the hate ladder by 1.  I'm not so sure if the person standing next to you would even make it on the hate ladder but they may. </P> <P>A better way to test this may be have the other person proxy pull an npc, doing no damage, you taunt the npc off then fire off Elude and see if they go back to the individual that should have the hate gain from the berate on them.  Anyways, back to work!</P>

They changed Swarthy Disorder a little over a year ago so you can only cast it on group members.  Before then change I used to have fun putting the Swarthy Disorder line on a non-group member then use the Barate line to pull a mob, Evade and the the Hideaway line to bounce it off to the non group member.  I havn't tested it since the change though, but i used to work like a charm.<div></div>

<DIV>I do believe that the taunt goes through our hate transfer. I pull mobs regularly with it, then Elude and it goes to our tank who I am hate transferring without them doing anything.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One of the developers I believe also confirmed it when he spoke about hate and hate transfers.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Rokjin on <span class=date_text>01-17-2007</span> <span class=time_text>01:47 PM</span>

<DIV>yup, i use Berate then Elude to pull mobs all the time, its also fun to put in on a different group member an pull green mobs while your waiting for spawns or the group to get there <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
