Wisdom line at low lvls

I am very interested in taking the wisdom line.  I am currently lvl 31.  I have been doing some research and alot of what I have been hearing is that the wis line generally isnt all that great until you can equip yourself with a high end 1h weapon.  Is this generally correct?  Looking at 1 handers at my lvl I've been seeing they are "ok" but defiently nothing to write home about.  Am I better off going down the str line first and then waiting till I get a uber 1 hander to do the wis line?Thanks!<div></div>

I'm at 31 as well and I would agree with you.  I have checked the market everyday for the last 2 weeks and have seen very little available as far as quality 1-h weapons available until at least the mid 40's to 50's.  My plan is to dual-wield until probably 40-50's and I am currently doing the STR and AGI lines.  When I get to the higher levels and find a good 1-h I'm just gonna respec my AA's and do STR and WIS.

<P>When my swashy was around the same levels that you are currently, what I did was went down the str and int lines. I did this so I was able to DW, because as you have pointed out, there aren't really any great 1handers at those levels. If you wanted to go pure dps you could always go str agi, or if you wanted to be a group tank could go str sta, or a nice mix of dps / utility would be str and int. The big reason I had originally gone str int over str agi is for the fact that I was wielding 2 daggers, and boot dagger combined with the sneak attack is a great fit for combat. </P> <P>My advice to you would be to start going down the str line, at least to the critical hits, and then if you are able to find a really decent 1hander start with the wis line. If you are not able to find one, choose whether you prefer dps / defense / utility, and go with the appropriate line. You can always use your free respec later when/if you find a really decent 1hander to use.</P>

When I was around that lvl I decided to try out the WIS line, I've just been using a mastercrafted 1h spear, I'm now 54 still using mastercrafted spears and loving the dps.

<DIV>Even with mastercrafted weapons the wisdom line still adds enough dps to be worth it.  Both lines require alot of points to get to the good skills.  str is better for getting increased dps sooner as its not worth switching to a 1 hander until you put at least 6 ranks into unencumberance.  Once you hit around 20 aa try out wisdom line with a mastercrafted or higher weapon.  Its pretty powerful for level 30ish.</DIV>
