Hey Swashies,My main has recently switched to swash from Bruiser. I'm only 37 at my current level so I couldn't say that I fully understand the class yet. Anyway, I'm looking over aa choices as I've just maxed melee crit and have 4 unused AA's still banked. My plan is to venture down the wis line for the 1h look and dps. But what should I do after that? I figure I have a while to decide but after looking over all the EoF aa's I find them to be lacking. Is it just me or do these aa's kind of suck? Not trying to be a naysayer or anything but all they seem to do is increase the amount our CA's debuff. I'm sure thats helpful and all but is that really it?I do like the Ehnance: Sneak ability to get sneak down to a 1 second cast. But so far thats all I see that I even want. Is there something I'm missing here with the swashie class that might make these AA's seem a bit more outstanding? Is there a common or popular route down the EoF lines? Thanks in advance,<div></div>

<P>In regards to EOF, reach is pretty much the best AA. You want to get reach.</P> <P> </P> <P>Aside from that, most people take style, some take debuffs. Style = more dps, debuffs = ...well, better debuffs.</P>

I'll re-read the style and reach lines. Sometimes it's just nice to be pointed in a direction by somebody who's been around.Thanks,<div></div>

What about for a PvP rigged Swash? I currently have 4-4-4-4 STR and am now going down the WIS line with intentions of getting Coule for the increased offensive skills while in defensive stance.I began going down the potency line, mainly because I like the mitigation debuff on slice or whatever it's called, but is reach really the way to go for a PvP swash? I haven't heard many Swashies talk about the Swash line so I'd like to hear a little more about your reasoning on this.Much appreciated!<div></div>

<DIV>Best PVP rigged swashes go str 4/4/4/8 wis 4/4/4/8/8 on rogue</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>max Finesse, En Guarde, Inspiration, and sneak focuses on debuffs on swash tree</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>max AE focuses, arctic blast damage, and take reach on the reach line. The rest are pretty much open to whatever. I'd recommend maxing guile focus.</DIV>

It's a tough call. If you go down the "style" tree first, you get to use inspiration and En Garde more often. But honestly, after just getting reach yesterday, I think I would recommend specing to max finesse/inspiration/en garde, then when you have 21 AAs, take reach. it is EXTREMELY useful for PVP, especially against melees, or casters who think they're out of your attack range.

<DIV>How are the AOE extenders working? Are they large enough to cause accidental pulls through walls and such?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Only reason I'm not planning to go into reach is the 10 'wasted' points in the AOE extenders.</DIV>

You're right that there isn't anything that leaps out and says you must have this. Nothing really boosts our dps directly but they do add up to making it easier for us to do dps. I've seen some class AA trees that where more exciting and I've seen some that really sucked. I think the swashbuckler ones are average. I went down Reach and Style lines for the final abilities. Reach line I went down to hit mobs in raid from a distance. The only thing I like in the potency line is the mitigation debuff increase. If I was not raiding I'd probably switch from Reach to Debuff line. As for wasting 10 points to the aoe range increasing AAs there are 5 skills in reach line and you only need 20 points so you can get a way with only putting 5 or 6 in those skills. I haven't found that they got that much more unwanted agro through walls. Just need to know the buggy zones where it can happen and more often than not you'd get agro through walls even without the extension. Only place where it might be more of a problem than before is mistmoore castle basement. <div></div>
