<DIV>Hey all, looking for opinions on the best healer for a swashie when 2 boxing?  My swash is spec'd Str/Wis, not Sta......  not sure if that would matter much with a healer behind but.....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'll mainly be using the healer so I can complete a lot of the quests and 2 box some of the more fun areas of the game, and don't want to be always LFG to do it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know Fury's get Agitate, which is a very nice offensive buff....  but that's about it.  Any thoughts on what I should roll?</DIV>

<DIV>I two box with a Defiler. Poison debuffs rock. THis has been asked a few times and it seems to be divided between The 2 shaman classes. I vote for Defilers hands down. Been 2 boxin from lvls 10-44. Can't comment at the higher tiers though.</DIV>

I two box about 60% of the time from about lvl 45 up to 70.My main healer was a warden, but I recently betrayed to fury.   I found it a bit better mix as the fury is a bit more AoE oriented and has agitate.  Still learning the ins and outs of the fury but like this combo.  I find spell dmg for the fury is a bit easier to get off than melee attacks.  Warden works fine to, duststorm (and upgrades) is a nice combo for tough named.I've also worked up an inquisitor to 55, I have found even though he has some nice melee buffs, and works well with melee, the reactive healing is a bit lacking for scout types.  If reactives fall behind the other heals are a bit slow, but it is nice to always have a dps buff up, inquis never runs out of power with the power proc buff on the swashie, and  lvl 50,70 spell  Zealotry?(spacing on name), works nice to.  Advantage is reactives are more fire and forget, disadvantage can't keep up against tougher foes.I two boxed with a defiler up to lvl 45 ish.  This combo worked pretty well, defiler plus swashie debuffs mean one gimpy mob.  Wards work nice with our semi avoidance nature.  Downside for me?  I found it hard to react to surprises.  If I planned ahead things were great, but if jumped it could get hairy.  Though part of it may just be I needed work on how I did things.  My guess is defiler would enable you to tackle the toughest foes.  If wards were up, engage get all the debuffs on from both classes, and from that point on you are good to go.For my playstyle though I like the druid.  The fast nature of the heals make it a bit easier for me two boxing by myself and even with a few friends.  Things get hairy just fire off group heals,  and the aoe dmg is nice.If being able to duo the toughest foes possible I think defiler/swashy is probably the best combo.  For my needs though I found druid to be a nice combo.  I would put the  inquisitor a bit further behind in survivability thought to be fair I didn't get him up past lvl 54.  One twist on the inquistor combo I didn't try though,  go battle priest and have the inquistor pull and tank (as long as he can) that combo might actually be pretty effective.Anyway there you have some ramblings,D

Care to give some more insight  why you think inquisitor is better?Yes there is a dps buff which is very nice, but I have found the healing to not be quite as good for my swashie with the inquis.  Two boxing isn't quite the same as duoing, my comments are from the 2 boxing perspective...I also find with the fury agitate buff, I have a ~50dps and ~50haste buff up over half the time.  Not trying to be diffucult here would just like some more info on why you think that is a good choice.  It could be that I need a few more skills on my inquisitor (lvl 55ish) to see what you are seeing.Drevva

Swashbucklers and <STRIKE>bruisers</STRIKE> monks (sorry, was sleepy when I typed this the first time) are the best duo partners for an inquisitor (and vice versa) because they have a good deal of self-haste. This works well with the inq's power buff, on top of the fact the DPS buff on someone with a significant amount of haste is a really nice thing to have.<p>Message Edited by Cocytus on <span class=date_text>12-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>03:31 AM</span>

Hmm,My self haste isn't all that useful as I'm tanking when I duo with the  inquis. so it gets knocked off a lot.  But perhaps it works better for the inquisitor to tank, that I must admit I haven't tried much. (other than detaunting to get my back attacks off)Power is certainly no problem with an inquisitor that is true.I'm going to keep leveling my inquistior but so far I'm finding my fury to be a better fit.  That said it could be I need to get better toggling zealotry on and off during the fight and need to work on my play of the inquisitor.   Though I realize not quite a fair comparison becausae my fury is lvl 70 so has some more skills at her disposal, perhaps there are skills/Abilities inbound that will push the inquistor into the lead.Part of what makes a good 2 box combo though, is what works well in terms of getting the most out of each character.    And the best 2 player duo may not be the best 2box duo. There is something fun about having a bunch of beasties on my swashie, aoeing to get agro, putting on a reactive then ring of fire and call of storms for the fury.I just see ultimately things being a bit limited healing wise because Clerics seem to heal the best for mitigation tanks not avoidance tanks.  But again, maybe I need to have my inquisitor tank.  And I'm still building AAs for my inquistor as well.    Just noticed I don't have convert yet,  perhaps this will tip the scales towards the inquisWill keep you posted on how things go <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Indi

Well, after I land lung puncture I don't really get hit much, so bravado is up about 70% of the time. Sure it gets canceled, but it triggers a lot, and I avoid a lot.

Warden is definitely a nice fit.Course when you list it like that I have to think to myself, why did switch my 70 warden to fury? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, hehe.I switched for easier dps for my second box, more aoe type spells to mix with mine.  I probably gave up a bit of survivability.  Plus I just love the look of call of storms.  What can I say , I like the glowies!  Though Fury gets Back into the fray and hibernation, two nice extra healing abilities.  I guess what we are seeing is lots of classes mix well with Swashie.Regarding our haste buff, I find  high blue heroics in EoF and white and up Heroics in old content hit us enough to take the haste down pretty quick. Regardless of lung puncture.  Though having the haste buff up more actually makes the fury move up a notch as with high haste Agitate will almost always be up and that is 50+% dps and hasteI still think clerics lose some of their effectiveness with any avoidance based class.  It just makes sense they heal a fixed amount per hit, avoidance classes take less hits for more dmg, that equals less effective healing.  The power proc definitely makes power a non issue and the inquis would have the edge in that fight that goes on for a long time, but with Cloak of the bat my druid rarely if ever runs out of power. The other thing choice of healer makes, some will make for faster killing, some will be better at taking on the toughest mobs possible.  But as I said I am going to keep raising my inquisitor and will have more concrete info when I can take each out at lvl 70 and see which works best.

Think one thing this topic shows is that the devs have done a pretty job with the classes, lots of options for healer, each has benefits over the others depending on the situation.Drevva
