Just wondering what stats are good for a swashie to stack. In most games I've played agi= critical hit so is that a good stat to stack? Was also guessing str. Hitting harder is always better? Anything im missing?<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><div></div>STR effects how hard you hit and your power pool.AGI increases your avoidance and its our primary power increasing stat.STA increases your HP.INT increases the DMG your poisons do.WIS increases your overall resistance to spells.STR/AGI/STA/INT is the way I go right now. STA is pretty easy to get as it usually comes with most equipment that increases STR/AGI.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Delowen on <span class=date_text>01-10-2007</span> <span class=time_text>02:04 AM</span>

Wondering where players get these ideas that a stat does something other than what it says it does?I have had players swear that AGI increases the to hit ability.i have also heard the agi increasing crit chance. My understanding is what you see when you mouse over a stat is just what it does no more no less.<div></div>

Just remember, that's off the record, on the QT, and very hush-hush... <div></div>

Or they parsed one fith where they had an agilty buff, hit a hot streak of crits, and decided it was always true that agility increased crits.</div>

Agi only increases avoidance and power.

Awww Did not know that about the agi before the lu 13 thing iam way to newto the game for that LOL.Lets see if iam doign this right stat wise so far59 barbarian swashy Been making str my most important stat to upgradeAgi and sta see mto be easy as most str items have sta and agi also.Int here recently i been tring to get some in as iam told it raises the posion dgm but its hard to add int with out taking away str.Wis well other than reist i does little it seems for us. Iam sure later on and if i raid wis may become important due to some nasty AOE's on higher level mobs.that sound about right?<div></div>

So would it be better to spent +stat traits on INT since equipment can cover the other three?<div></div>

<div><blockquote><hr>Alexander the Great wrote:So would it be better to spent +stat traits on INT since equipment can cover the other three?<div></div><hr></blockquote>That would be a better choice to use your +stat traits but it all depends on your level and availability of equipment with STR/AGI/STA. At lower levels you wont care as much about INT as you would STR and AGI, the good thing about the +stat traits now is that you can respec them at the same person you can respec your APs at.</div>

<div></div>I seem to be one of the exceptions <span>:smileywink:</span> I respec'd all traits to INT since gear gives me the rest and I group with zerker who gives str buff (last I looked I think I had about 740 str and 480int when we grouped together - note I'm not in full fabled gear). I've gone STR/INT but I haven't collected the Swashie AAs yet for poison... going for debuffs first. So I've gone a quite different route than other swashies but I still get to be on top parse... sometimes 2nd right after wizzy. And max dps is not my target... I'm looking more the debuff/poison angle of swashie. Choose what feels right for you, experiment, we don't all have to be the same. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Tarya on <span class=date_text>01-03-2007</span> <span class=time_text>10:18 AM</span>

So you can respec the traits/aa's? as many times as you like or?But i just want to know which stats are most important, is it like this agi/str/sta/int/wis? in general? don't say that everyone follows that but thats the most common one?

Yes it became possible (LU 30 i think) to respec your racial traits just like AAs. From the same person actually (mage faction building)... some characters can even have a free respec (if they existed during that LU). But like AA respec they become more expensive the more you respec. <div></div>

<DIV>I've been wondering how our stats, particularly strength, relate to our overall the Attack stat. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And also just what the Attack stat means and whether it is significant.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I notice when I hold 2x duel wield weapons my attack stat is 100 higher than with a 1-hander. </DIV>

<P>Strength directly increases the amount of damage of every physical (ranged included) attack you do. It increases auto attack, autofire, and all combat art damage. It also increases power.</P> <P> </P> <P>edit - Additionally, when holding a onehander, no procs are taken into consideration, therefore double attack is not taken into consideration on the attack rating.</P><p>Message Edited by Cocytus on <span class=date_text>01-03-2007</span> <span class=time_text>05:53 PM</span>

<DIV>[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn], strength does NOT increase power pool. AGILITY increases power pool.</DIV> <DIV>STR increases your damage</DIV> <DIV>AGI increases power pool and avoidance and possibly your to-hit chance, i cant remember for sure but someone mentioned it above</DIV> <DIV>STA increases your hitpoints</DIV> <DIV>WIS increases your resists</DIV> <DIV>INT increases poison damage</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as answering the initial question....</DIV> <DIV>Strength is the most important stat for a swashy, it increases our damage which is a big part of what our class is about</DIV> <DIV>Str/Agi are the next most important stats, depending on how you plan on playing, one may be more important than the other. It's kindof a toss up, currently my agility is much higher than my stamina.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Int/Wis is also a toss up, i personally value wisdom more because i worry a lot about my resists. The only real benefit i know of for having a high Int is more damage from poisons... for it to make a big enough difference, youd have to have really high intel. What i do is worry more about wisdom than int on my gear, but i keep gear in my inventory with intel on it to swap in when im applying poisons. </DIV>
