I would only wear the Chest and Coif of Daring. The chest for same reason, and the coif since it has better stats and resists.. and the proc on the coif of the ringleader sucks in my opinion.

Yup that is pretty ugly stuff.Someone in the art department doesn't quite grasp the less is more concept. Chest piece is ok , leggins should have less detail as well as the boots. Drevva

Preface: Me, PVP 70 Swash on Naggy, of which hasn't really raided at all. My question... Where does this Freethinker gear drop? That stuff is awesome. It looks terriable, but I'd give up looks for those stats. TY,12

Before I pass complete judgement I'd have to see that set with High Quality graphics on. As it is, I think it's a bit too ornate. However, individual pieces woul make an outfit look grate. Worst part on that model? Legs and transition to boots. Waaay too much going on for just a black and white set. Some color would help. But the ornamentation is too over the top and not stylized well. It's like a mosaic pattern with no rhyme or reason and no real function. As time goes on, I get more dissapointed with the art direction of the game. They need to take inspiration from functional pieces of equipment and give them a fantasy flair. Not just go hog wild with crazy looks and see what happens. Keep the crazy crazy patterns for mage robes. Give us swashy's/brigands/assasins/rangers stylish gear that is a bit more 'tame' but flamboyant. That suit makes no real sense. If I had a choice I'd probably take the chest, gloves, boots, use relic legs and some other arms, maybe mcabes... we're talking looks here, not stats. The stats themselves are mind blowing and well worth the effort. It's just the look I dislike.

Wow, that looks like total crap. Massively ugly. I guess it was a one time deal in getting good looking armor sets (relic).

I'm curious as to exactly how difficult this armor is going to be to obtain, on EQ2players the only piece of this armor that has been discovered is the gloves and thats on about half the servers. From what I have read it appears to be class specific armor drops and not patterns/molds or anything to that effect like in KoS (correct me if I'm wrong). If that is the case with 24 classes, 7 armor slots that comes out to 168 possible different pieces of armor that can drop off just a few mobs? I don't want to think of how long that could take to just get 3 pieces of this armor to get the first bonus effect......

I think the stats could be better to be honest with how difficult it might be to get this armor. In just STR/AGI/STA and the lack of INT this armor set isn't much better then Nemesis. Now HP/Power and resists are FAR better and the focuses are a big bonus but with the max stat cap increase this wont help much (and the whole bonus from getting multiple items from this set wont matter if it takes you forever to just get 3).

This is just my view on it, the armor overall is great and better than the other sets (needs some work on the look, pants and boots are bad) but we will have to see what it takes to obtain a full suit of this armor.

Message Edited by Delowen on 12-19-2006 08:04 AM

Very, very disappointing graphic for a fabled gear set. It could take months to loot a full set of this gear, and while the effects and stats are nice, the art department just flopped big time. I thought they did a great job with the EoF swashbuckler set and had finally designed something unique that actually looked good with a full set, its too bad that the next tier of fabled loot would look so unimpressive. Hopefully the screenshot is not doing it justice....

I must be one of rare few who actually like the look. Yes it could always be better but we should encourage the art team to come up with new gear looks. We could have had an old texture done up in a new color, like the KoS set but the art tried to come up with a new look and i actually give them kudos for it.
