To Hit Rates on Tough Mobs and Slash/Pierce Skill Comparison

I wanted to start a swash thread on to-hit rates.  Sadly I forgot to bring my parses in to work this morning so I'll have to edit this post when I get home.Using a Slashing weapon, with a slashing skill of 380  (I think, have to check when I get home) I was hitting level 74/75 epicx2 mobs in Castle Mistmoore about %77 of the time on auto attacks, about %81 including .I hit even con Heroic targets about %92 of the time.Essentially I'm trying to gather some data points. I'd like to define a target slashing skill to hi %85+ better in Castle Mistmoore (this will bring DPS up significantly).  That way I know what I  need to focus on gear wise when it comes to skill improvers.  I know there's a ton of factors involved in the hit rate on mobs (how well its debuffed for example).  But hopefully, if enough people are paying attention to the numbers, we can as a swash community come to some conclusion about what skill level is "ideal" and how much diminishing returns effects our skills if at all.<div></div>

In Deathtoll zonewide I had a 79% hit rate with a piercing of 405 that would fluctuate up periodically if I was lucky enough to get swindler's luck.  The other swash in my guild has could and had a 82.5% hit rate. I believer her unbuffed slashing was 429.In mistmore inner sanctum I had a 70% hit rate up to the first named.  The other swash had 75% hit rate.In Halls of Seeing I had 77% hit rate and the other swash had 79%.Obelisk of Blight mine was 77.7% and the other swash was 86.2%These numbers are far from scientific because of mob positioning ect as you said, but it seems that as you go up in raid progression +skills are more important.  Those hit rate number are just auto-attack numbers.  Also, it seems that with heroic content the +skill items have greater returns as well.<div></div>

Just a quick update: Self buffed/geared my slash is at 405, my pierce is at 406Looks like, tentatvely, to get to even %80 on mistmoore mobs I'll need another 50-80 pts of skill.  That's quite the investment in gear, be interesting to find the pieces if they are out there.<div></div>

My accuracy is about 95%...self-buffed and in off stance of course, my piercing/slashing is generally about 430-435.

421 self buffed, 440+ with swindlers luck up. I notice I miss less now ive taken Coule.

Cocytus, What's your accuracy against Epic x2 Mistmoore mobs?  I doubt you're doing %95, my Auto-attack is about %72 in there right now, close to %88 on CA's.  That's with a 426 slashing, occaisional boosts with Swindlers to higher than that.  It destroys my overall dps because my Auto doesn't hit as much. On most other raid targets (yellow instead of orange con) I do in the low 90's for to-hit.  really trying to find  out how much more skill at slashing/piercing I need to make a dent.  6 points did absolutely nothing.<div></div>
