<DIV>When I first started playing assassins interested me most of the scout class.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Right now I play a 40 illusionist, a 48 wizard, and a 51 warlock.  Both sides of the sorcerer coin, and an enchanter.  I'm still possibly interested in trying a summoner, but for now I think i've enough mages.  For healers, I found being a fury to be the best fit for me.  I can solo pretty well, I enjoy my abilities, and I can provide great healing utility in a group.  I've toyed with the others, but being a better healer who is subpar at soloing didn't interest me, nor did the opposite. I also play a 36 monk, which i'm really having fun with, the solo ability, and for regular groups I make a pretty good tank, which makes for a really fun change of pace compared to my mages and healer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>With the Fae race being available now, I really wanted to try a scout.  I like the idea of bards, but don't really like the idea of mainly being a support class.  What is their solo style like?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rangers seem interesting.  I wasn't much of a fan of ranged combat, but i've gotten used to it more with my monk.  Are they decent at melee range too though?  I don't want to have to constantly kite.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Swashies I really know the least about, which is why i'm posting here.  What is your hunting style like?  I hear talk about swashies being 'uber', though i'm not sure if that's a joke, or if currently they have a nice advantage.  Are they a melee class, or a 50/50 mix between melee and ranged?  What makes them stand out?  From what I hear, they do well soloing.  Just want more info on the style of hunting play.  What are the pros and cons of being a swashie as opposed to a ranger?<BR><BR>Lastly, I thought the alignment went ranger (good)  assassin evil  ////////////////// Swashie good - brigand evil. But on my char creation screen, under select class, ranger is by itself.  And swashie is on the same row as brigand AND assassins.  Does this mean that a ranger betraying stays a ranger now?  Instead of becoming an assassin?  And a swashie that betrays can choose between brigand or assassin?  Or can a ranger betray to assassin?<BR><BR>I've been up all night, so I apologize if this didn't come out perfectly... but i'd much appreciate any advice to decide which to choose.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

But on my char creation screen, under select class, ranger is by itself.  And swashie is on the same row as brigand AND assassins.  Does this mean that a ranger betraying stays a ranger now?  Instead of becoming an assassin?  And a swashie that betrays can choose between brigand or assassin?  Or can a ranger betray to assassin?<font color="#cc0000">Good only Swashy betrays to Evil only Brigand and Good only Ranger betrays to evil only Assassin.  They changed the categorization for new players who may classically associate Assassins with a rogue class as opposed to a Ranger class.</font>I've been up all night, so I apologize if this didn't come out perfectly... but i'd much appreciate any advice to decide which to choose.</div> <div> </div> <div> </div><hr></blockquote></div>

I never worry at all.   My group role I tend to gravitate to is DPS/Offtank..  if a healer or squishy class gets aggro I swap to the mob on them and try to taunt/pull the mob off of them, and barring that I try to burn it down quick. To me, Swashy is one of the most adaptable classes out there.. we can DPS, we can debuff, we can make everyone else do better dps, we can offtank, we can tank in a pinch.. and we do it all with style and panache.<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>
