I would like to do 1-handed, no shield for the Wisdom AA line, but the newest post I've seen was on AA's and it seems most Swashy's (were) dual wielding, and said 1H did have much love back then. That post was also from before KOS. So what I'm wondering, is are there good options for a 1H weapon for a Swashy, or should I just DW.Also, is there really a significant difference between piercing and slashing swords? Because I've been using piercing DW, mainly for Rapiers (think they're piercing) so I can go with the Agility AA line aswell.

If you go one handed before this point, you're only hurting yourself. When dw and doing only xp, equip one slash and one pierce to keep the skill with each weapon even. certain mobs are highly resistant to one type or the other, and not using the both makes it impossible to hurt these mobs.

I have only 8 points in WIS so far, & the only thing I've found that seems to be "hurting" me is that the adornment I put on my weapon doesn't seem to proc anywhere near as often as did my Gleaming Strike. But other than that, I don't see any significant reduction in my DPS, my ability to solo or group, etc., so I can only guess that I'm doing "OK".

I'm still not sure whether or not I like it as much as I did DW, tho. But maybe that will change as I get more points into the WIS line; Freehand Reversal & Unencumbrance look like they'll be very nice additions.

Someone correct me if im Wrong but i was under the impression that to beat a DW setup you needed to max double attack and have a wep with a DR of over 63.7. This being @ lvl 70.

All I'm saying is, whatever decrease I'm experiencing in DPS hasn't been especially noticeable. I know it's there, but its overall impact on my game has been minuscule, so I can't say I've been "hurt". Obviously, once I get more points into WIS (currently 12, 4 each in WIS, Lunge Reversal, & Freehand Reversal) I'll be even better off, but right now, I'm doing fine

& since we're talking about AP stuff ... what do you think of Traumatic Swipe, from the STR line? It doesn't look very impressive, just reading the tooltip, so I decided to spend points in the WIS line first, rather than "max" out STR. I almost feel as if, once I get Coule, I'd be better off spending my last 8 points to buff the lower tier abilities (like, +2 points in each of 4 abilities, or else maybe max out Lunge & Freehand Reversal), rather than spending them on one attack. Is this foolish thinking?

& thanx for the number analysis, too, it's quite helpful!

This is what you do...Go dual wield and start with the AGI aa line. When you get to 4/4/4/4 in AGI, then go buy your 1 hander and respec to 4/4/4/4 wis, go ahead and finish out the wis config how you like, then go back to AGI or STR. I recommend AGI, however if your guild requires you to be on the spell timer extension ability you need to go STR. Most guilds are requiring 2-3 of the rogues to go down this line. I naturally prefer the brigand to have that responsability, but your guild may have other opinions BTW, I ignore the final ability in WIS and invest those points in some of the other wis and agi abilities.
