<DIV>Ok 37 level swash here. I played EQ2 for a while as a Mystic, quit and came back a few months ago and decided to play my Swash instead. I have to say I'm loving her. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But, this old newbie has a lot of questions about the best way to play my Swashbuckler. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First of all these hate transfer skills have me pretty confused. I have to be honest and admit I've rarely used them and don't really know how or when to use them. So far I haven't been in many situations where the MT had trouble holding aggro-is that just a level thing?And I don't know who I'm supposed to target. Which ones are for self only and which are to be cast on other players? Do I target the player or the MOB. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>With so much going on in a fight (especially with multiple MOB's) how do you watch for hate transfer at the same time? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh yeah and while I'm at it, when you are fighting a group and the MT is switching MOB's, how do you keep up with which MOB is targeted so you can be positioned properly? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>OK-now to the weapon question. Am I better off just sticking with dual wield weapons and not worrying about raising other skills? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>well you have several deagros and a direct transfer</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>there is the in combat stealth agroo reducer, it woule be Lie Low at level 37, this will put you into stealth and reduce you hate prority by one, this means you will instandtly pass agroo to the next person. Personally i dont use this one much. Normally i use this if tank dies and i have to swash tank it for a few seconds til he is back up, The pop this and passes agrroo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the pointy finger icon, is your hate transfer, would be Swarthy Deception for you atnm, that will transfer a % of your hate directly to the tank. This helps keep agro off you and help the tank hold agro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the "green man" icon is you single target hate reducer, for you its Slip, its essentailly the reverse of a taunt, if you are pulling agroo pop this off whenever its up and that should redue you the chance of you stealing agro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the "yellow man" icon is you proc de-agro buff, Avoid Attenion for you, it has a % chance to reduse you hate, and is a self buff until.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>at later levels you can use a hate reduction poison called "ignorant bliss" not sure when you can start using it, level 52 atleast. but with all that you shouldnt have too much problems.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>as for weapons, stick with duel wields for one, one slash and one pierce till you AA points build up to fill up some of the WIS line, i use 4-4-5-8-1 with that i use a one hander.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
