On Beta I tried Sol Ro and there were a few blessings that were usefull. One was a 13,000 DD that worked once an hour and the other was a 10 min fully functional fire pet hat was a real nice DPS boost. The reason I'm not going for Sol Ro now is because the cloak effect procs only off of offensive spells cast by the Toon. I'm going for Brell this time, He has 2 real good attacks. On Beta they were both AE. His topped off ability isn't bad either...Rift from Below (1125)6s duration, max AE targets 15Inflicts 2190-5109 crushing damage on targets in Area of EffectInflicts 344-803 crushing damage on targets in Area of Effect every 3 seconds_Throws target backForgehammer (1500)Stuns targetInflicts 6100-7455 divine damage on targetEpic targets duration is reduced to 3s

Protection of Brell (1875)Increases Mitigation of caster vs all physical damage by 3500Applies The Hand of Brell on termination- Heals group members for 30% of max health

What does brell's cloak give? Marr's give a DPS proc, but it doesn't have the damage like Zek's.

Ive heard that Brells cloak gives regen and miti.but there is also fun pets from the gods. But they give buffs. Marr has lion i think and it gives you 28 str(?)And i heard that Brells pet gives dps mod buff.but this is just rumors and unconfirmed info.

Having a hard time deciding between brell and marr. Alot of discussion last night in the swashy channel and there seem a 50-50 split. Marr has a better cloak for a swashy. But brell seems to be a little better for abillitlys.

Brownwolf Shadowblade

70 Swashbuckler

Dracos Argent,Butcherblock

This first Marr ability is real nice for soloers. Brell has some nice AEs. Marr has a better end game cloak.Neither is really what a swashy should worship. Bristlebane should have been added, or Erollisi (his sister) should have been added. Tunare would seem the logical choice for a good aligned, stealthy rogue but even rangers wont choose her, and I think she has a ranger ability.Evil plate tanks are in the same boat as good sneaksters.

Brells cloak gives Regen X and a clicky summon ale for group 1x/norrathian day (novelty). I'm hoping there are better dropped legendary/fabled cloaks that come my way soon. Marr's DPS boost blessing/miracle also increases hate gain by 25% IIRC. I think even without the hate gain increase you'd be tagging agro with just the DPS/Haste boosts, so it may not be such a great raid utility. As a Dwarf Swash I like worshipping Brell and his abilities aren't that bad. I get a neat cloak and a pet pick axe to toss out there occasionally.

BTW heads up to Brell worshippers, the Pick Axe you could summon on beta was a novel little attack pet, now its a freaking harvesting no-zone item. BOOOOOOOOO!There are better blessings anyway, I just liked throwing the pick axe at things for novelty. Oh well.

2 questsions:1) What abilities does brell have for swashys?2) If i switch to brell can i still wear the Marr cloak? its a sexy blue that looks utterly supperb with the relic hat & chest, with the purple shoulders, red trouser and purple boots I have. I know it sounds like a colour explosion, but it really really works. I look like a Muskateer

Well, the god choices for a good swash are Tunare, Quellious, Marr, Brell, and Ro. The best DPS choice is Brell.

He only has 1 blessing we would use (the rest are tradeskill) and it's mostly a survival thing - it adds mit and heat/cold resist.

Excluding the one tradeskill miracle, these are his:

All his miracles are very nifty, though. His first miracle, Rift from Below is a 5k-ish nuke +700 DOT, ENORMOUS knockback, 6 second stun. Effects epics.

His second miracle is a 6.8k (iirc) nuke that is also a 9 second stun. Effects epics.

His third one, Armies of the Underfoot, summons 8 swarm pets. IIRC, they are all ^'s and of course scale to your level.

His last one is a HUGE mitigation buff. I can't remember specifics atm because I've been too distracted by his others, but I remember it is a huge one.

At the moment, you can take the Marr line for the cloak and then renounce and go to Brell, but honestly? I think it's a waste of time, cause I really think SOE's gonna nerf it so you can't wear a cloak of a god you don't worship.

The Marr line primarily focuses on tanking, taunting, healing, and really only has 1 significant DPS skill on it, but the cloak is nice. STR and DPS boost and +40% character enlargement. Nifty but it's too late for me to pick it up

Quellious isn't good for DPS at all and I pretty much think she sucks as a god except for enchanters. Really all we get from her is a hate gain decrease - imo we don't need it.

Tunare is a healer god. Plain and simple.

Ro is a caster god. Plain and simple.

Message Edited by Cocytus on 11-20-2006 02:44 PM

For the Kragploom Mesa, you need to basically head north along the top of the cliff that lines the beach. You will come to a mountain with two paths up - left is Kragploom, right is Krulkiel (sp).

It is possible to solo the MMC update, but you need time and patience, Once you find where it is, you can sneak by most of the see-stealth wherewolves just on skill, but you must kill a minimum of two. (65 ^^^, but we can kill them.)

The boss however...I'm not sure on his soloability. When you fight him, he mentors you to his level (65.) I duoed this with a mystic after killing the two werewolves, but I had no idea he would mentor me to his level. I just noticed that his damage shield hit for like 170 and thought it might be a problem so I got a healer.

I've killed it solo - Had to use the Haubergeon though. I'd recommend just bringing one other person. Doesn't matter what class. DPS will kill it faster, healers can heal you, fighters can tank it for you. Just bring one other and you should get em. Both should be 70 though.
