<DIV>I am having problems on raids getting the one hit squash from aoe. Mainly in Labs from named. Even last night with 3800 mit, using defensive stance and over 50% avoidance i get the one hit death from a reguar epic mob and a named. It's never from spells, it's always a melee aoe. Slashing, crushing, ect.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Getting very tired of it. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Am I just stuck waiting for fabled gear to drop (which it never does) or is there another way to stop this?</DIV>

<P>What's your HP at? I'm at minimum 6-7k HP in groups in Raids and never have problems with AOEs in Labs, except for Uncaged Alzid doing his aoe root and taking 70% of my health, then getting killed by his 2nd aoe.</P> <P>Also the occasional [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] drakota flame breath from the trash hurts.</P><p>Message Edited by Rokjin on <span class=date_text>11-12-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:14 PM</span>

I was one shotted as well in the beginning... ever since i've tried to look armor to buy but there is hardly anything (since all are no-trade). I have t6 fabled leggings, nemesis gloves and relic bracers and my mitig is bit under 4000 (in dps mode). I don't get one shotted anymore around those aoes but very close still. So I have to range fight (when dps just goes down dramatically) or joust (if timed). Just hoping to find better mitigation gear.... <div></div>

<DIV>HP usually runs around 6k when raid buffed. My agility is a little low but when raid buffed im over 500 str and agi. around 300-350 sta.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Best I can do is some legendary, mostly xegonite. My only Fabled is MoA. Our last named raid yielded 0 relic and almost 90% of the drops were for bards. Talk about a lame [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] raid.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My AA is Str/WIS</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Str Wis</DIV> <DIV>4 4</DIV> <DIV>4 4</DIV> <DIV>8 4</DIV> <DIV>8 8</DIV><p>Message Edited by Thunndarx on <span class=date_text>11-13-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:48 PM</span>
<DIV>These days i am normally 8.5 to 9.5K HP raidbuffed depending on group set up, so I dont get one shotted anymore (well in labs at least). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I found the armour rewards earned from the Claymore quest line to be beneficial, there are some pretty nice armour bits and pieces to be gained from there which have stats on that may help you (such as +v's Crushing, piercing , slashing etc). These can be gotten with a group. Might not seem muh but it all helps <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV>

<div></div>I had the EXACT same problem until very recently. 2 things you can do to make it better:- try and get vs pierce vs crush vs slash gear. There are Legendary rings which have it, they are VERY expensive though!- be lucky and get grouped up with classes with good HP buffs; I still get whacked for 5-6K sometimes, but at 7K HP at least I can run out and get healed- be VERY lucky and get grouped up with a good healer. Some in my guild know me by now; they pre-ward me on some fights or throw regens.I have been raiding for 3 months now and from day 1 I realised that "melee AE" are the single MOST annoying thing on raids. Everyone has heat resist gear, but miti? Uhm no.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Kharadrim on <span class=date_text>11-14-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:32 AM</span>

<div></div>After about 7k hp, you wont get one shotted by the ae's, not even the drake frontals. My assassin has the same problem and I just try to stay as far back in melee range as possible and usuall throw on some light chitin rings if I know its a melee ae mob.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Facedown on <span class=date_text>11-14-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:56 AM</span>

<P>Which nameds are oneshotting you? If it's a physical AE...it should only be a problem if you're in primarily treasured gear, or t6 gear.</P> <P> </P> <P>I'm thinking it may be a magic AE and you don't have enough resistance.</P>

<P>I am usually stuck in the last 2 groups with a fury or warden and their either not buffing me or just can't. Im not familiar with healers buffing ability yet.</P> <P>The worst gear I have is T7 mastercrafted. Some Legendary, 1 Fabled (MoA)</P> <P>The mob I have the most trouble with is the Uncaged Alzid and it is melee damage not spell. His AoE swings and im either dead or severely crippled. </P> <P>I appreciate the info and will work on raising my slashing/crushing/piercing</P><p>Message Edited by Thunndarx on <span class=date_text>11-15-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:52 AM</span>
I dont know how other guilds do it but when we (Divine Legend) first starting doing the Uncaged Alzid, we wiped ALOT. We finally sussed the strat and it involved everyone (except MT) to stay out of range on uncaged and do ranged damage to take him down. Took a long time but we lived. As time goes on and your gear etc gets better you can melee him and have him dead in less than 2 minutes.

<DIV>Hm, when I was fighting alzid in mostly legendary gear with 1 fabled (MoA...ah I remember those days), I wasn't oneshotted. I usually only took about 60-65% of my health in damage, but I don't recall being oneshotted. Maybe you're unlucky? <img src="/smilies/1069449046bcd664c21db15b1dfedaee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

hehe We had the same thing in DT from the eyes.. before EOF we killed everything in and it was kinda a farm run for new toons..The basic of the issue is that with the increase of skill caps, resistances evening and mit changes all players have been effectivly changed to lvl 60ish (well thats the effect of the changes)...I beleave SOE has noted the old zones need re balance and will make changes.... It happens almost every time they change the combat system or release and expantion...On the upside the new content is balanced nicly with the changes and doable. So hit up the new stuff <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<DIV>Yes stuff is hitting really hard now. Yesterday we went into labs and could not kill kill the alzid thats spawns the adds very fast now it seems and they hit really [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] hard. We always kill him pretty easy and usually hes dead before all the adds die. The adds seem to have alot of [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] hps too. Mobs are hitting really hard in labs and seem to have a crap ton of hps too. I had to switch to mental breach poison or I kept running out of power on trash mobs. As far as I can see unless they fix the kos raiding content our alliance raiding will completely stop.</DIV>

<DIV>Actually the Alzid fight for us was pretty much the same as it used to be, except we needed a little extra caution. We got it on our first try with minimal deaths (a few people who didn't take us seriously when we said AEs are hitting harder). Slavering was hitting like a truck and taking out tanks fast. We couldn't kill the trio (though they were nerfed as of Sunday morning apparently.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We stopped before the first eye.</DIV>
