All very close Vilucdiaes could win in certain situations... and is definately the better tanking weapon. Another weapon you should be looking at is Frost Axe. The proc is very good and with the 125% haste increase after expansion 2.5 delay is gonna be the delay of choice I think.

Vilucidaes max damage is twice that of frostwraths, it has a much higher crit ratio. Sword of shielding is best of those 3 hands down.

Probably the sword of Shielding...Though I have no tolerance for delays over 2.5, that would put out the most dps. If it was my choice, though, I would go with the Silver Sword of Rage, again simply because I can't stand delays over 2.5, even if I can haste most of it away. Just a peeve of mine.

I will give my reasons below. Your best bet is going to be to alternate your weapons. Next time you run LoA use frostwrath on the first group of 3 statues then silver sword on the next. Frostwrath on the first gazer, and silver sword on the next, etc. Lower delay weapons are superior when it comes to swinging between CAs, inspiration and en garde damage. Higher delay weapons will give you more procs and are less likely to be delayed when NOT spamming CAs. Since any single fight is a mix of all of these components I think it is pretty much impossible to calculate the best weapon. Parse them out and see.All three of those weapons are in the same basic range. What is your haste in your typical raid group? While crit damage is great and all, you want the weapon that is going to be delayed the least amount by your CAs when queuing them. So you want a modified delay as close to 1.0 or 2.0 without going over (like the Price is Right) If your modified delay is 1.1 second, this means you weapon swings 0.9 seconds later than it should, nearly halfing your damage output when spamming CAs. If your modified delay is 0.8 you are only delaying an extra 0.2 sec thus reducing potential output by 25% when spamming CAs.I have Frostwrath and another swashy in my guild has the shadow axe, which on paper is much better than any of the weapons you listed, we do nearly the same damage wise. I also have the claymore weapon which has lower max hit, a slightly higher crit range, and a slightly lower DR (DR is proportional to average / delay) than the shadow axe. In a typical fight where there is a lot of CA spamming and there are no power issues (ie lots of auto attacking) I do quite a bit more damage with the Claymore weapon. On a really long fight where proportionally more time is spent auto attacking we are nearly neck and neck. When we both had the frostrwrath our auto attack damage was nearly the same so I figure this comparison is pretty valid. One last comment a big proc makes a difference. My claymore proc accounts for 5% of my auto-attack damage. This is like increasing the DR by 4 or so. Granted this number is going to fluctuate with the amount of DPS buff you have, but my claymore proc does quite a bit more than my guildmate's shadow axe proc. I think people are too fast to throw away procs. Last few raids I ran the claymore proc gave me 2% of my zonewide DPS. This isn't huge, but 2% is more than you will get from many weapon upgrades.Edit: One final comment. With EoF and the ability to get over 100% haste the ideal delay is going to be between 2.0 and 2.5 IMO. I think a 2.2 delay weapon would be great. Things are changing in a week.

Message Edited by SmCaudata on 11-09-2006 05:49 PM

because of the delay on villucidae's you will proc a whole lot more. I would go with that one hands down if you can get procs and haste.
