even b4 the update, whenever I forgot to renew my poisons when they ran out, i'm always instantly reminded for they always made that big a difference in my fightsnow that I cant stack three types of poisons anymore, I feel so lost

Where did you see they don't stack? AFAIK, poisons of different types (damage, debuff, other) still stack.

u can ? how ?my alchemist can make only 3 types of poisons, a dd (25% proc), a dot (25% proc) and a debuff (15% proc)i tried using them with my swashbuckleronly the debuff (15% proc) worked and probably bcos I didnt had any old 15% proc poison already in use since my touch of beholder stock ran outso essentially only one post LU 24 poison worked

Poisons stack in the following way..

Damage(red , DD or DOT or DMG/HEAL) + MIsc(blue, stun, hate reduction, slow) + Debuff (yellow I think, agi/str/int/wisext debuff)

When soloing I run with Damage/heal poison + stun + agi or str debuff.

Don't look at it like you are trying to stack a DD and a DOT as they are both damage..You can't do that.

You can stack the 3 primary types of poisons , damage + misc/util + debuff.

Same principal with %..You could always stack 25 + 20 + 15 but you cant stack two of the same %.

Message Edited by OpethPA on 06-23-2006 11:23 AM

Yup can still stack them. Its by icon color as noted above. One Red, one blue, one Purple. You cannot stack two in the same category, like two damage ones from the reds.

the old poisons are no morethere's only 3 types of poisons now, as 2 out of 3 are damage types, so in theory with the new poisons, u can stack 2 of themmy swashbuckler is only lvl 41, not sure if there's poisons equal of the old ones in the new poisons for lvl 42+ thoughbut checking EQ2 Alchemy, I dont see any more 20% proc poisonsPre LU24, I stacked 3 poisons, 25% proc, 20% and 15%. Looks like its only 2 types now, 25% and 15%

Message Edited by TOGPortents on 06-23-2006 11:43 AM

More types of poison become available to you at higher levels. There is a good list here. You're alchemsit won't be albe to make purple poisons until he is in his 50's for the most part (though there are teir 3+ resit debuff poisons). Blue posions seem to be mostly 40+ as well.

Don't focus on % anymore , its really simple.

You can stack red(damage) + blue(util) + purple(debuff).

As the person below me said, more become avail as you level.

thank uthe old poisons werent identified by color, i note the new ones are now red, purple or blue in colour.i thought u can only stack poisons if they had different proc rates, i.e. 25%, 20% and 15%. As I didnt see any 20% ones and even missed out a 15% debuff poison in my alchemy recipes, I thought the days of poison stacking were over.my swashbuckler currently have 4 poisons stackedI've just learned now u stack poisons by types after LU24. Pre LU-24 I could not stack more than 3, no matter if the poisons were of different types, the proc rate held the key then.it took me the whole night to learn poisons work differently nowif I didnt post this message, i probably be totally ignorant and screaming nerf still

Message Edited by TOGPortents on 06-23-2006 12:07 PM

www.eq2alchemy.com has been updated with LU24.Also, if you're using the caustic, you won't actually see an icon when it procs as it's an instant hit, you actually have to watch for it in your logs.

you dont need to equip a poison to use it.. just right click and use it
