<DIV>I myself do not have a swashbuckler yet, though was considering making one, and I wonder which is better for dps, 2 dw weapons, or a 1h with the double attack/added dps AA line?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Like, if I always had hurricane, bravado, and a few damage poisons up, which setup would generate more dps? Or if I throw in inspiration, which then?</DIV>

with comparable weapons going wisdom line is more beneficial to your dps regardless. procs you dont need to worry about because they can only proc off the primary hit, ie the hit with your primary dual wield weapon or the first hit in a double attack series. inspiration is entirely dependant upon a few factors the bigest being your overall weapon dly.if you have a 1.0 dly weapon @ 100% haste inspiration will go off twice every second on single target. factoring in things like hurricane, slower weapons, and still spamming CAs if your timing is on, can lead to other ammounts of hits.usually it hits 12-20 times every usage.<div></div>

<DIV>I have a question about delay. I saw a few fabled drops lately. A DW with a 4.0 delay today (I passed on cuz i am WIS), and on the broker for 50 p 78 DR 3.5 delay 1h with a sick ward proc (didnt have the cash though), right now im using Ancient velium shortsword with a 71 DR and a 1.3 delay. Now I have spirious bravado m1 and perfect finesse m1, and I am usually 100% hasted. Is it better for me to use a higher delay weapon with a higher DR? Just wondering if i should pass on that sword if it drops for me.</DIV> <DIV>78 DR 3.5 delay or 71 DR 1.3 delay? </DIV>
Ultimately what you should look for is high DR and low delay, I am having trouble finding a decent weapon to replace my Frostwrath (haven't done much of the Claymore quests) everything that hes dropped in my guild is either lower DR or much slower, however, the only real effect weapon speed is going to have is the number of times you proc Inspiration.<div></div>

as a swashbuckler we usually have a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] of haste factored in, 50-100% most times. the right hand of the high priestess would honestly be a waste on a swashbuckler, except when using inspiration and not using CAs. the weapon is just too fast to be good. idealing you are looking to get a weapon between 0.8dly and 1.0dly <b>AFTER </b>haste has been factored in. this is because of CA cast/recovery timers. heres an examplecombat art cast --------0.5 seccombat art recovery --0.5 secauto attack --------------instantcombat art cast --------0.5 sec combat art recovery --0.5 sec auto attack --------------instantcombat art cast --------0.5 sec combat art recovery --0.5 sec auto attack --------------instantthis pattern leads to auto attacking exactly once every second. so if your auto attack timer is up early you have to wait to hit the mob. thus using a weapon that after haste is far below 1.0 sec dly ie right hand of the high priestess which is 0.5 sec dly you waste alot of potential dps. most of the otehr fabled 1h in this tier happen to be 1.6 sec dly (works but is a little fast imo), 2.5 sec dly (too slow, end up waiting still), and 2.0 which is exactly perfect. 2.0 weapons to look for are Ancient Vorpal Blade aITEM -1930307368 -1885102380:Ancient Vorpal Blade/aAncient Sarnak War Cutlass aITEM 1182990097 1065111891:Ancient Sarnak War Cutlass/ayes they do not have a proc but make up for it by having exactly the right dly and having the best DR in the game useable by scouts.these both drop from Venekor in Halls of Seeing. hope this helps

Man, I lust for that ancient sarnak war cutlass <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Also bear in mind that you can swap weapons during battle with only a pretty short delay. So if you want to toss in that 1.0 delay weapon right before you pop inspiration, you can do that, and by the time inspiration is up it's ready to be swapped out again.<div></div>

You'll definately want to dual weild on a new swashy up until you're level 60ish and have enough points to max out unencumbrance AA. Once you can do that, switch to 1h, and you'll see a notable increase in dps. For inspiration switch out to a 1.2 delay 1h. The 72% double strike from unencumbrance plus 48% extra attacks from hurricane will make the 1.2 delay 1h considerably better than a 1.0 delay dual weild.<div></div>
