It really depends on the type of fight and everything. In normal groups I constaly out dps pretty much everyone. I have a mix of ad III, ad I, and a couple masters. To me, this seems strange because I shouldnt' be doing more than a ranger or wizard. I only see parse numbers when someone in the group runs a parser, so it is possible that those times the rangers and wizards I was grouping with were just not very good or were not paying attention. That said, with my wis spec and when inspired daring would be avaialble I would tear up groups of 4 and be a couple hundred above everyone DPS wise due to hurricane.I saw lots of complaints on this board and was a bit frightened of my DPS post 45 or whatever. Now that I made 70, even with a blade of the bixies and mostly xegonite I find my DPS to be far more than adequate considering that my debuffs help the rest of the group as well. So yeah, I would believe that a good swashie going all out DPS could come close to rangers on raids. Equally equiped and both doing their respective jobs though, I would think that the ranger should win out. In my 6 man groups I have yet to see a parse that didn't have me on top when I was trying. Keep in mind that many ranger abilities are on really long timers. If they had them all up and blew the on one fight they would destroy us I think.

Alot of DPSing on raids is dependant on group setup, with the right group setup you can out DPS most people.

I normally raid with 2 rangers. One consistently puts out more DPS than me and the other does not and they are both similarly equipped and have at least adept 3 on all CA's. The difference is that one is willing to spend a couple of plat a raid on arrows and die a few unnecessary times and the other is not. From fight to fight who puts out more damage varies based upon which skills are available, the type of mob, and who's actually paying attention.

If I'm in the melee DPS group I tend to be in the top 2-3 of the parses, since I'm normally in the MT group I tend to sit in the number 4-5 spot. On the plus side in the MT group I don't ever pull aggro if the tank is still up where as the rangers, assassins, wizards, warlocks, and brigands tend to get one shotted a couple of times a raid when the mob looks their way.

So yes we can do more DPS than a ranger in some situations and in others they can do more than us. Now the zerkers are a different story.

Also since you are lvl 45, in your upcoming levels you will soon be getting new burst damage skills which will signifigantly change the way you play the game. You'll realize the swashbucklers potential soon enough.
