Thought it might be interesting to hear from others about classes they have fun duo with. My experience with duo's is mostly of the two boxing form but figured I would throw it out there. . I figure when I two box I play my swashie at about 95% and the second character at about 60% hehe. Swashy /Warden. This works very well, warden gives a nice mitagation buff, Also buffs slash/pierce etc. so I can go into defensive stance with no pentality. Dustorm can be really nice when things get sketchy, the knockdown seems to give a bit of breathing room for both my swashy and the healing. Warden adds a bit of dps, the extra escape is handy. A very survivable combo, can take on even con heroics but better exp and such killing blue heroics or mutliple solo encounters. Swashy /Dirge. Just starting playing around with this one. Have to be a bit more careful as no healing. Run speed is nice. Some boost to defense with pary buff and Percussion of Stone. Much faster killing than with warden. I often pull with the dirge with a mitigation debuff, AOE Dot, then go to town with the swashy. CoB is simply amazing . Granted the numbers are small but there are a lot of them *grins*. Basically gives an inspired daring type thing every minute. Definitely more dangerous than with the warden but more fun too. Going to see how heroics go, I"m guessing doable but probably not efficient in terms of down time and risk. In both cases agro isn't a problem, don't need to use the hate gain from the dirge. What are others experiences? I'm curious about a fury/swashy combo, seems that would be a nice mix, more dps and still the survivabiltity of a healer. Drevva

I dont have the opportunity to duo alone...but when having a live partner I duo with a warlock most times with my swashy. Talk about being able to drop large heroic mobs in a flash. I rarely loss even half my health before the mobs are dead. The swashy can tank pretty efficiently but can easily lose aggro to a warlock unless you cause nearly the damage the warlock does. I do. When I need to get the creatures back I use an aggro reducer and the creature turns on the warlock allowing me to cut it down to size and regain aggro quickly...especially using the taunt. When dealing with multiple mobs is where we excel. the warlock's powerful AOE's and my twin master spin attacks allow us to mow down even large groups of ^ and ^^ heroics.

Although we are lacking a healer, we rarely die especially with the evac ability.

I've played with a Ranger a lot but maybe not best combo to play with though I've enjoyed it a lot since it's living dangerously (its a gamble if I cn snatch the aggro off from the ranger *grins*). I've also played with an another Swashie - that was major fun to switch aggro between us - to enable backstabs in turns LOL. I've two -boxed with my warden and I liked the buffs she was able to give me.

Ive done both Warden/Swash and Mystic/Swash. Of the 2 I much prefer the Mystic Swash. Me being 70 and the Mystic and Warden both about 57ish.. So Usually Mentoring. But when I am mentoring my avoidance and mitigation are about the same in either group set up for the most part. The real benefit is that since my Avoidance is around or over 50% usually the Mystic Wards are much more effecive as you are not constantly being hit. As for the DPS. The Mystic is able to Debuff the mob nicely in that I can take less damage and also do more as they can debuff defense some and stamina. As for the Warden. Overall I think is a better healer and keep up with heals better but you tend to need to have to be lower in health for the Heals to be much more effective. If they ever decide that Wardens/Fury should be the ones buffing the most Hit Points out of all the healers then they would be by far a better healer. As you would not be wasting so much of the HoT's.

Back when you could put your Hate transfer on Pet's I also duoed with a Conj. Conj would use the tank pet with my Hate transfer and we could take mobs down no prob.

I have been duoing with a Monk (sometimes we add our mystic friend) since level 1, now 44 and I must say its awesome. With her tanking I can do all my positional attacks and if she gets too low on health she feigns and I tank the rest

Ive been dou'ing with a zerker thats my level. Been hitting up everything smoothly and even go back for loot runs. Once in awhile ill have one of the guild healers tag along, usually a inquis or a fury. Either way as long as theres something tanking you can effectivly dish out nice damage. Looking forward to Hail of Steel (Master I) I have, any1 know if that gets upgraded?

Message Edited by LiquidFusion17 on 06-21-2006 07:31 AM
