<DIV>basically i really want to go STR/WIS with my swashy alt, but i can't help feeling that i'd be shooting myself in the foot if i picked them as i leveled up, rather than going for a more obvious path...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i'd normally just start picking up the ones i wanted, but with it being a PVP server, i really can't afford to be playing with one hand behind my back.. erm ... literaly <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Go Str line till you have 21 AAs then respect to Wis line. That way you get the full benefit of wis line double attack when you respect. However for pvp I'd still think that Agi line would be better. <div></div>

ok i quit PVP without really getting anywhere, just didn't want to start all over again while playing the gank or be ganked game.started out on RE with a swashy...just wondering how soon 1 handed becomes an option.currently level 29 nearly 30, almost got the 6 AA's needed to get the first rank for an ability, would like to go 1h as soon as possible really.

think i've seen a fabled 1h that drops from sol eye somewhere since revamp... so guess i just need to find a weapon good enough to consider the switch.

For levelling I've become very fond of Boot Dagger from the int line.  You only need 5 points in int to get it, and it's pretty nice for both soloing and grouping.  I'm 48 right now and have been using it since level 30 or so.In groups, I just tend to use it to get off my stealth-stab quicker (plus the damage from the actual ability itself is useful), which is nice because it will stun mobs that shrug off cheapshot a lot longer.  When soloing, I've use the following chain of CAs to get behind those pesky one-up solo mobs that never like to be cheapshotted long enough to get off both the backstab and kidney blow:cheapshot -> boot dagger -> stealth-stun-stab -> (run through mob to behind) -> backstab -> kidney blowIt's a long chain of serious DPS without even getting hit once during the duration.I still plan on changing into the wis line, but right now I have two very nice dual wield weapons that it wouldn't make much sense to respec out of use right now.

its not bad, but for solo i just mez, stealth take my time, move behind, turn on the blender. it probably does help for swashies more than brigands as our stealth attack stuns, but i just really like the style of wis =/

<DIV>For solo or small groups I like the Agil/Wis lines.  Start with the stealthed Backstab that stuns follow up with the other 3 in the backkstab chain, then turn on Lung Reversal and waiit till Pillage/Plunder resets then use Walk the Plank to turn the MOB so you can get the Opening hit all over again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This works great for me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Or if I cant get the jump on the mob first I"ll hit them with a normal attack, walk the plank then my rear/flank attacks and then stealth and sneak attack then finish up with frontal. I cant see being able to use that Boot Dagger skill since I have Walk the plank.</P>

<DIV>I have read that Wis line does not compensate noticably compared to DW</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>is this true?...I was starting the wis line and feel I should respec</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then I would go str/agl and whatever's left probably in sta or int</DIV> <DIV>(the last ability I don't really like on any line)</DIV>

On average though, with equal quality weapons (note: DW DR is skewed upwards since you miss more attacks due to CA's), WIS line will give 5-10% more DPS then the same amount of points in AGI or STR.
