Weapons for a new swashy

Level 18 swashy and I love it! I have a 70 fury and this is like night and day.. My question is this, I forged him some imbued blackened iron rapiers when he hit 10, and now getting close to 20 I am contemplating doing a set of steel weapons. problem is, on my server steel clusters go for 80+gp each, so almost 2p for a set of weapons for a level 20 seems insane.. Question is, what are good weapons at that level? Are there good quest weapons?<div></div>

<DIV>If you group a lot...  I would say, just skip level 20 weapons.  You will be level 30 in no time and there is no reason to spend that much money on something that will last you 1-2days at most.  And also, you can join instance groups and go for named in SH...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you solo a lot, thats a different story...</DIV>

I must be doing something very wrong then.. Took me 4 days to get from 17-18.. Had a big problem finding groups.. I am usually hunting Antonica and BB when I can find a group.. Should I be doing something different?<div></div>

<DIV>Try to go for group non-heroic mobs and use good food, drink, and poison to reduce down time much as possible.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I suggest going after green non-heroic group mobs or mobs in BB or SH.  Most effective soloing is reducing downtime and killing easist mob with max xp.</DIV>

It depends upon the sort of weapons you're interested in using. There's a Berik: Sword of Thunder quest, it provides a Long Sword that's better than a Steel Longsword, so if you don't mind using a one handed weapon, you can try to get that drop. I got it off of a Defiled Knight.<div></div>

Do all the Windstalker village quests , do all the Commonlands ones , Kill in WC then FG when 20 and you will be 30 in a day and a half</P> <P> </P>

The standard weapons are much cheaper then the steel. What you might want to consider also is chatting with some of the more expirienced weaponsmiths in crafting chat and get some oppinions.</DIV>

Try to hit 20 before you upgrade. To get to lvl 20 you may want to start looking at quest and mobs in TS and Nek or Blackburrow, Stormhold etc. I can't stress enougth how quest can really speed up leveling. Having said that, you can still check the brokers regularly for treasured weapons and armor that are upgrades. You can often find upgrades for 5 gps or less. Legendary items really aren't necessary especialy when you can get a full set of treasured items for the price of one legendary item. Also see if you can get adept 1s for your higher level combat arts. Generaly, upgrading combat arts is a longer term investment because combat arts get upgraded every 14 levels while gear gets upgraded every 10. <div></div>

Just hit 20 and did AQ1.. Still got some antonica quests to finish, but they are all heroic like killing the wardens etc.. May head to stormhold and check things out<div></div>

 at lvl 20 u can solo shatering vale well for good exp about 30 to 40% depending on vitality in about 40 mins, that is good till about 22, if you can get  a healer and tank go and do the instance in TS called priate secert stash the heroic version. then hit up rov in a grp will then or giants for idols and good xp. if u can afford the steal and have someone that can make them for you i say go for it, i am a weaponsmith lvl 56 so i make sure all my alts have lengadry weapons to help them lvl... even if they are only being used for a few days they  will make a big difference on ur dps and are worth it imho..<div></div>
