<DIV>How do swashbucklers differ from assassins? From brigands? In general gameplay, I mean, not which is better, or which does more damage. I want to re-roll a berserker because it plays too much like my bruiser, and these three seem very close in play style, eg., attack from stealth, better suited to groups (the majority of players - I am sure YOU soloed to 70 with nothing but a rusty spoon, but my skill level isn't there) and win by dealing out damage quickly (overpower or die - no long fights.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for any help! :smileyhappy:</DIV>

<DIV>i am going to be honest with you. If you ar elooking for feedback because you are considering playing a swashie. In my opinion we are a great class but so are the brigands and assassins. In my opinion go with brigands because they are less and you will have a better chance to be pick up on raids and groups. According to eq 2 census brigands are the least played class in the game. it is shame considering what they bring to a raid and group.</DIV> <DIV>their DPS and BUff are superb.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I decided toplay a swashie for a similar reason and in my server at the time in server swashies were limited which brough me cheap masters. Now in crushbone there are ton of swashies and it is gettign more competitive to get the goodies of battle. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Since the classes you asked are all godo inmy opinion go withthe least played one in your server and trust me is the one you enjoy the most</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<div>It's circular.Swashies got touted as the uber DPS and awesome buffers for a while, then suddenly they start appearing out of the woodwork. Three of my friends rolled swash alts. I'm sure eventually brigs will have their day.</div>
I'd go Swashbuckler.Definitely.

<div><blockquote><hr>agra wrote:I'd go Swashbuckler.Definitely.<hr></blockquote>Also you get the numbnut brigs (see above) that actively discourage people from joining their class because they want to be teh 1337 pwnz alone at the top. Really, just decide for yourself, there's about 500 pages of threads like this that've been discussed forever.</div>

<DIV>I would go brigand, but I like my mez and ae damage so I'm staying as swashy.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you like fear and pet go brigand, which has most debuff out of all scouts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you want to do crazy dps, go assassin. Have extra money saved up so you can repair your gear. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<P>You're not kiddin about Swashies coming out of the woodwork. I started a Swash at launch (a toon after my own heart) and I started leveling at a <EM>leisurely </EM>pace and I was still in the first 100 or so people to reach that level on Oasis. I stopped playing back in August and picked the game up again and jeeeeebus. There are a ton of swashies now. I feel a little bummed out by it because Swash was a rare class and somewhat like an undiscovered secret. But hey, the more, the merrier. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I should use a signature that reads "I was Swashy when Swashy wasn't Coule." :smileyvery-happy:</P>

I think i was prob one of the first swashie trolls running around qeynos for sure. Took me a couple weeks to get to eq2 from eq1 after it was released but, since then, I've played a swashie and nothing else. Even through the rough days getting 2 shotted from green heroics and about 0 utility. Not sure what kept me going but I'm glad I stuck it out.<BR>

<DIV>Troll Swash! I lubs it! I was thinking about rolling an Ogre Swash, but I don't think SOE could handle the strain of two Swashies on one account.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I did make a Troll Guardian, though, who's low 50's now as I've leveled him with my Swash. I'm tempted to switch my Swash to another account and two box them up to 70.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ohhhhhh, the hotness.</DIV>

Roll a Swashy for sure. The AE damage is way better than either of the other two. Assasins are just an aggro magnet and die too easily and the Brigand heals are the worst in the game.
I was 18th on my server to 70, I ma constantly being asked in /tell if I want to change my guild, swashies are much sought after by raiding guilds on my server, could have something to do with how good I am though <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span> <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span> <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span><div></div>

<P>Swashbuckler is more AE and rapid frontal attacks... Brigand is more stunning and backstabs... Assassin is more ducking into stealth for stealthed attacks.... that's a quick summary of the overall playstyle of the three.</P> <P>I have a 58th Brig, and 37th Swash, and they play quite differently so far. They feel to me like very different classes.</P>
