Thanks. the lighting doesn't do it justice though. Hard to see the cloth texture with puffed up areas. I'll try and get some really good lighting nd redo the pics.

Looks the same as the T3 AQ gear, just a different color. Hope the stats are impressive, because they really got lazy on the art.

Your lucky you are a race w/o hair. When races with hair equips their hat, they all of a sudden become very bald. Its been a helmet issue from day one since hair styles are just overlays like helmets. But my half-elf with side burns doesn't look so good bald in my opinion...

Yep, the stats are impressive. From what I have heard, we are one of the few classes that they got the stats pretty good on. The others have things like 27 int for healers. I wear mine most of the time, except maybe my nemesis stuff for different resist, etc. They really did our outfit right, in stats and looks.Look up Maelstrom in the eq2players item database.
Message Edited by Scortch on 05-11-2006 12:21 AM

I really like the look, considering the level 20 AQ armor which it is based off of was barely used with graphic going in so late. Hopefully we get more stuff along this line, so much nicer than regular chain.

Heh I feel I'm the only swashie that is NOT gonna wear that armor :smileytongue: I chose the Thief AA-line and that just doesn't fit the style I look after... I currently wear assissin armor and hood - and can't wait to get a black long cape to hide in dark alleys and sneak on roof tops :smileywink:

INT "thief" line having a monk ability Feign Death... and aladdin flying carpets in a medieval setting... what's next??? lightsabers straight out of SWG? Oh wait... it's FAIRYS! That's right LOL!All in all, the relic armor looks sweet as hell! Props to you for sticking it out and putting in all the effort required to get a full set!

Q: And you chose to play a swash over an assassin... why? A: Because I charm, I flirt, I'm playful and humorous - Assassins give me an impression of lonely, dark, sarcastic figures which I'm not. Edited: If you ever watched some Errol Flynn movies - or think of Robin Hood. You could say I'm the female version of a charming thief... talks her way to your heart and steals your money while doing so. But sometimes that gets me into trouble and I have to stay in the shadows lol. :smileywink:

Message Edited by Tarya on 05-17-2006 09:21 AM

Shame there aren't different colour options though, as I'd hate to get to 70 and see more or less everyone looking the same. That said I'd probably pick it in black anyway, though perhaps with the white bits in red. I'm sure I read they may introduce limited dye options for cloth armour - yes, I know it's chain, but it looks like cloth so here's hoping :smileyhappy:

Message Edited by Siadern on 05-18-2006 05:53 PM

Yep, of all the times we have done all the relic dropping zones there is (and it's been a lot), only 2 pairs of chain legs have dropped. We get hats a LOT.
