Trioed a swashbuckler to 40-ish with a fury and a berserker, and we never really failed because we needed more dps. So I'd say swashy is fine for that group. Good dps (and dirge buffs fit great), great debuffs and some nice utility. I'd take a swashbuckler over a predator for that group.<div></div>

<P>Swashie should work fine. Swashies are fun to play, and the minimum drop in DPS (if there is even one) will be made up for by your debuffs.</P> <P>I'd actually say replace the guardian with a zerker.</P> <P> </P>

If you want to maximize this group I say go warlock. If they had a dirge I'd say go swashbuckler <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I definitely prefer my swash over my warlock, but with that group makeup I'd go warlock based on the troub and guard alone. Plus you'll be able to do any Heroic Opp.<div></div>

<DIV>With that setup, I would say go with eithier Wiz, warlock, conj, or necro more then swashy.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would say necro since they do godly dps, heal, and you can fd on wipe situations, also you can rez people.</DIV>

go with your choice, its all about having fun, so go the Swashy and don't worry about what anyone else says.

<DIV>Swashie dps plus debuffs makes us a valuable class in pretty much all settings, but the most important in my eyes is: play the class ye enjoy the most no matter what. There are plenty of classes that can bring more right now, but as mmorpgs will always be rebalanced choosing a possibly imbalanced class ye dun even prefer just cause of how they look at the moment is bad in long run tho.</DIV> <DIV>When I made my swashie we were a petty excuse for a class, look at us now! The old king if the hill classes are still screaming themselves hoarse over being brought down and the new ones are sitting on a branch that will break.</DIV> <DIV>As long as ye have fun playing the chosen class you will have the best chances of enjoying the game for a long time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>I'd go with Swashy if that's your preference.</P> <P>As a Swashy you <STRONG>will</STRONG> be able to match a Ranger's DPS anyway, plus contribute some very nice offense/defense debuffs that will help the whole group.  Your group will be able to handle tougher fights with a Swashy than with a Ranger, trust me.</P> <P>The other line of thinking would be to go for a Mage class, so you get all 4 archetypes in the group.</P>

One nice thing about going swashie with that group make-up is that in addition to some much needed DPS, you will also bring some very handy utility. Having group invis is very handy to move around without having to kill everything in the path. Also, evac is very nice when things go back (or as a fast way to go somewhere in the zone).<div></div>

<DIV>well it looks like i wasn't the only one debating a class. 2 changes so now we will have a defiler, guardian, wizard and i think a swashy will work extremely well with that group :smileyhappy:</DIV>

I was going to suggest a mage class with the first one, if for no other reason: 4 class HO's. They are really good at the lower levels, and certainly don't hyrt at the higher ones... Since you are the scout, you need to learn and teach them <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

(i.e. no taunting or CAs at all for a short period)Druids used to have fun with instant aggro due to their HOTs... before the revamp all the clerics and shaman could pre-reactive/ward and have no issues but druids would get agro the instant the HOT ticked.</div>

<DIV>Well the thing is that defiler heal is pretty much transfer self hp to other person, unless you do group heal which eats up crazy amount of power.  This is reason why you need it during group since its hp regen during combat...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you want to read up on it, check out defiler forum. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My main was warden pre-LU13, I know how crazy those agros were.  One group heal and oh crap, but I did felt like I was playing cleric in EQ.</DIV>
