PVP - Would swash be a good combination with ranger ?

Hi people, My friend and I are rerolling on a PVP server.We both would like to go for scout and he will go ranger...So that leaves me with Dirge, troub, swash (if we dont want twice the same class)I heard that troub's buff and abilities are more geared towards caster classes so that would leave me with Dirge / Swash as a choice...Would you recommand Swash as a complement to his ranger ? I believe this would mean more DPS then a dirge, but less utility overall (group buffs etc)? Or not ..? We could group, but the aim is to duo most of the time...Thanks alot for any feedback

I have a 42 Swash on Nagafen and whenever i hunt with one of my ranger friends we dominate, swash holds decent aggro and keeps them slowed and heavily debuffed while the ranger unleashes without having to worry about distance, also evac every 7.5 min. is great too.

Actually if you're really into pvp, rogues get see stealth (while sneak is active), and predators get see invis (while stealthed), so if you are both stealthed, you can see every player in the game that runs by you, invis/stealth or not.  Pretty good duo and good survivability. <div></div>
