Level 35 swashbuckler.. It's only one in many times they have nerfed us, in the process of fixing another class. It will continue to happen.I am already being out DPS'd by a monk, that does pretty close to t1 DPS. It's going to be worst now.

The irony here is that monk (TANK) out DPS us. Another fact is that the tank is somewhat close to T1 DPS. Does that make us a T3 DPS and them T2?

Seriously in my opinion SOE definition of balance is so far from the truth that even they sue a nuclear weapon they will miss teh target.

WAR is coming out !

There will always be favorite classes in EQ2, unfortunately. They can't be neutral for some reason.

The short answer is yes, it needed to be done. The extra proc dps was roughly equal to bringing along a spare t3 dps class, in many cases. I suggest you read this thread - where this has been hashed out several times.

I don't see why anyone would think that Swashies are going to drop below tier 2 DPS, just because the WIS line is being adjusted (I don't view it as a nerf).

I easily maintain tier 2 DPS without being spec'd in WIS, the only thing this change will mean is that you proc at the same rate as every other rogue in the game, will that honestly make you tier 3 or lower DPS, if it does, maybe you need to look at how you play.

Yes this is going to hit our DPS. I knew the moment I took wisdom it would only last as long as it took SOE to notice it was procing way too much. But I enjoyed it for 2 LUs, I'm happy.

With regards to DPS tiers - I can tell you, as a level 70 raiding swashbuckler, that my DPS is currently Tier 1 with the Wisdom line. I can hold my own with every other DPS class and in most raids I'm #1 or #2 in DPS - this is against Assassins, Rangers, Wizards, Warlocks, Necros, Conjurers, you name it.

I fully expect, when LU #23 comes out we will no longer be Tier 1 dps, but solidly in Tier 2. For those of you who have monks out dps you - remember a lot of it is around design of your character, their character, the group, luck, buffs, what not. There is a lot of differences that can affect who out does whom. I still expect to outdps monks after the next LU as well.

Also please remember this impacts every class who does a double attack - even monks.

Don't forget this change hurts Brawlers more then it hurts us. They are the ones with 96% Double Attack to our 76%, and a lot of their AA build relied on getting the 96% attack, then stacking the procs from the other lines. This is much more a nerf to Bruisers/Monks then it is to Swashbucklers.

Good news everyone!Although it does hurt our hurricane / poisons, our double attacks still proc Inspiration like they should ( i say like they should because it procs off of everything, ie interrupt, procs etc) so we can still do heavy damage on single targets.
