<DIV>Ok, I've managed to acquire 2 moonstones. I intend to make them into Adept IIIs. My question is what would generally be considered the most useful?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Currently I am going down the int line of AA (hate reduction) although once I fill it out I may respec it to wis.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My master II choice at 64 was dashing swathe (the slow AE in case I mis-remembered the name).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm almost 65, but if something is coming up that would be good to wait for I will.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for any input in advance <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Andas</DIV> <DIV>64 Swashbuckler</DIV> <DIV>69 Jeweler</DIV> <DIV>Permafrost</DIV>
Personally, the first one I'd go with is Audacious Advance our lvl 69 offensive stance. I don't know about Permafrost, but it's nigh impossible to find on AB.The second one I'm not sure about. I'd say En Garde, but I don't know the difference between it and Adept III, and I'm sure I'll be shunned for saying that. Maybe Uncanny Response?

<DIV>65 has Engarde which doesn't come in Apprentice variety. It's a nice spell, especially for soloing or tanking. Not the best to add massive offense otherwise, but good. I've seen a few masters of it on Permafrost but if you can't afford 8p for the master than this might be a good choice.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This question though really depends on your play style. Are you a raider or casual? Do you solo or group? Do you typically do dps or tank? Those will really answer the question of what makes the most sense to get.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Other things that make a difference - do you have any t6 masters? Some of the T7 A3 upgrades are so similar to the T6 masters that it's not worth the upgrade.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Nalvest - Permafrost</DIV> <DIV>70 Swashbuckler / Weaponsmith</DIV>

<P>Good points Nalvest.</P> <P>I rarely raid. Most of my time is spent duoing with my wife (64 Warden). We do guild groups a couple of times a week (I'm DPS there).</P> <P>I don't have any T6 masters, but I have an adept III Hurricane (the rng is not my friend in T6 or T7 for harvesting rares).</P> <P>My gear is decent, but not raid quality. My jewelry is good <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Thanks for the responses so far.</P> <P>Andas</P>

Dauntless Advance is tough to find, ya, but is it a great upgrade? I dunno, I'm not finding myself having trouble hitting mobs anywhere, and I don't know that the extra proc will add up to enough DPS to make it worthwhile. For my money, first Adept III I went for was Whirl of Blades, which I recommend over Uncanny Response -- decent damage and a mit debuff to boot. I'd have been thinking about Guile too, but I already took that as a Master II.Inspiration is a big one, it's the upgrade to Inspired Daring at 70. I'd take that over En Garde.Other than that, Lucky Ploy and Dashing Swathe would both be really nice Adept III I bet, probably going to get those next.<div></div>

In a fight, your offensive stance will more often than not make up the biggest % of your DPS (This is taken from parses in Advanced Combat Tracker). So unless you have a master of Audacious Advance, I'd recommend Dauntless as your very first spell upgrade.<div></div>

<div></div>Two things to remember, first that it's benefitting from increased proc rates at the moment, and secondly that it's benefitting from guile and whirl of blades, as is everyone else in the group/raid.The way I look at it, I look at debuffs first and DPS second. Dashing Swathe and Lucky Ploy are my favorites mostly because of all the juicy hate I can transfer over to the tank. EDIT: ANd also, looking back, I take it he tanks duos. Lucky Ploy and Dashing Swathe are A+ ways to keep group aggro.I will say that my parses typically do have Interrupt coming in a fair bit lower then all my other Adept III skills and even some of the Adept ones, but it is an adept so I'll buy that it might move into a better position with upgrades.<div></div><p>Message Edited by SageGaspar on <span class=date_text>04-26-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:27 PM</span>

<DIV>I spend a lot of time duoing with a mystic and I know where you are coming from.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For sure - get Engarde. It's a great spell for tanking.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm guessing that you aren't leveling extremely fast, so my next choice would be guile for your group encounters - this is because all the remaining ones you want are level 67 +.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here are my choices for you in order (assuming you were level 70) for T7 ones.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Inspiration (70)</DIV> <DIV>Engarde (65)</DIV> <DIV>Whirl of Blades (70)</DIV> <DIV>Guile (61)</DIV> <DIV> <DIV>SteelWeaver (69)</DIV>Lucky Plow (70)</DIV> <DIV>Dauntless Advance (69)</DIV> <DIV>Uncanny Response (67) </DIV> <DIV>Perfect Finesse (67)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Doesn't sound like you have upgraded all your T6 ones to Adept 3 either, so think about some of the ones there too - Dazzling Steel , Agile Slashing and Razor point are big ones for you when tanking.</DIV>
