Could someone mention or even better post pics of any good swashie weapons they've found so far in KoS? I'm only level 62 and haven't found anything yet.

Also, does anyone have any good rapier (AP AGI-line useable) weapons for a 62 swashie? Is the t7 crafted one any good?

Thanks! :smileyhappy:

T7 crafted one has only INT on it.. so basically useless for stats purposes but still decent damage / proc (42 with a 300 proc)

No... and it just goes to prove you shouldn't smoke crack and program at the same time.

We have an AA line that depends on a rapier and they don't but any decent rapiers in the game... that I've heard of. I've completed several of the T7 quests (inc. Grizzlefaz's) and they don't give a choice for a rapier. In fact, I haven't seen ANY quested rapiers or even heard of any.

Even the rare crafted rapier was ripped away from us by them putting INT on it... tho... I wonder how much that might increase poison dps... Hmmm....

The two best ones that I have found so far are - Blackscale Shortsword and Blade of the Darktalon. Most of the time I keep two of the Darktalon blades equipped, but the shortsword is nice for when you are soloing. The Darktalon blades dropped off a named in Palace of the Awakening, and the other one I am not sure of, it was given to me. But I believe it drops in there too. Hope this has helped.

Adilia - Mors Mortis - Guk Server

Lvl 66 Swashbuckler

Just the sheer fact that you can get the stats you want from every piece of crafted armor now, instead of a smattering, with half of them being useless, easily makes up for the imbued rapier having less than desirable stats. Just replacing the coif from Cobalt to Xegonite makes up for the stats not being overly useful on the rapier. Besides using a rapier isn't absolutely mandatory, it is only required for the spin around CA. Useful for soloing, but hardly something that you absolutely couldn't live with out.

Besides what do you want on there? 20 STR, at level 60 that amounts to 6 extra damage per CA, hardly game shattering. More AGI? We already have better survivability than the other Scouts, not counting Brigand, so an extra fraction of a percent of avoidance isn't dire. The tiny amount of power isn't a big deal, Swashbuckler is one of the most power efficient classes in the game. Running out of power in a heroic is pretty rare (unless it is really sufficiently higher a level than your group that it is practically like fighting an Epicx2 around your level) and in raids, power regen makes a far bigger difference than slightly larger power pools. Maybe a little extra STA? Again we already have better survivability than pretty much all the other Scouts, not counting Brigand.

Really losing 20 to a couple stats to get the right weapon doesn't make a huge amount of difference. Especially when full Xegonite chainmail contributes a whole lot to all your important stats as opposed to Cobalt chainmail that had a spread of stats (Hurray, 30-40 INT).
