Or am I just drawing aggro instantly? The "PvP version" of the spell causes a player to change target to you (as well as the haste buff) and doesn't allow them to change targets for 3s. It seems like that is how it is functioning in PvE for me as well. I dump aggro as often as possible, burn the gnome racial deaggro, don't join a fight until 20% mob health left, and remove poisons; but I still get aggro every time I do the buff animation. When the mob turns and hits me, the buff cancels, and it goes right back to the tank. Just to test it further, I dropped my hate transfer buff, put poison on, and went balls to the wall dps on a few mobs in a row and I could not pull aggro off the tank even while producing almost 1.5x the dps and never using an aggro reduction skill. Am I crazy or is this bugged?Sintor - 54 Swash (Nagafen)

There is a known issue with the palidea spell Amends and our hate transfer.

Tried with Monk, Paladin, Berserker, and Guardian. Pretty much ever since I got the spell it has been doing this, but I've only had a swash on PvP, so I am unsure as to whether you instantly gain aggro on normal servers. I was in a group killing orange/reds to me (work makes you fall behind sometimes!) and I could pull the red off of a berserker even if I waited until 50% to start fighting.

I simply can not use this line while xping pretty much regardless of the tank or use of the evade/stay low lines. I noticed it most clearly when I was grinding and pulling off of a tank with just auto-attack. Thats not a good sign, so I started dropping buffs to see what the source of the absurd aggro was and sure enough.... bravado line. Took the buff down, went balls out (with aggro reducers) and didn't peel very often at all.Probably a bug that needs looking into on the PvP servers.

Message Edited by DresdenMalicaster on 03-10-200610:49 AM

No, it doesn't happen on PvE servers.

The Bravado line procs a buff that is both a haste and a hate gain. In PvE, the hate gain is simply that -- you gain hate a little faster, a little more with every strike, than you would with the buff off. It doesn't make you automatically gain aggro but does make it easier for you to gain aggro eventually, so you have to be more careful to monitor your overall hate gain. Effectively it's just so that the haste isn't completely "free", it makes it marginally more risky to use, though the benefits basically always outweigh the risks! It's great in PvE.

Now, on PvP regular "one-shot" taunts will cause your target to remain locked on you for x seconds. But... playing a priest in PvP, I'm not entirely sure how the more esoteric hate transfers and hate gain/loss skills work (or are supposed to work!) -- particularly our hate transfer, our Bravado hate gain, and the ranger always-on hate decreaser. I have a feeling our hate transfers may give a chance to force our targets to target our tank (or whomever you put the transfer on), while hate gains have a chance to lock your target on you and hate decreasers have a chance to remove you from someone's target window... but don't quote me on any of that. (My guild decided to go evil on Venekor, so I can't make a swashy there. )

It definitely sounds like Bravado is buggy on PvP servers, though, like it's using the PvP mechanic in PvE. I'm 90% sure it shouldn't be forcing your target to lock on you with every proc, anyway, that's way too high a taunt rate. Tanks would love to have that, considering how regularly it procs! I would definitely /bug it.

Message Edited by overfloater on 03-10-200608:00 AM

I've been experiencing the same thing. I'm already 42 on the PVP-RP Venekor server, and our Berserker can keep hate off everyone except me if I have Bravado up. I have the M1 version, and it seems as soon as it procs the mob turns on me INSTANTLY, no matter how much hate the tank had generated on it and how little I had.

Confirmed as a bug and being worked on. Yay.
