<div>This method has been around for a while, but I thought I'd bring some attention to it.</div><div> </div><div>1. Start in sneak</div><div>2. Open with brazen thrust, guile, lung pucture, and backstab combo</div><div>3. Hit cheap shot (turn auto attack off if mob is ^ or over and gonna be a close fight)</div><div>4. While stunned him him with flurry and gouge lines.</div><div>5. Mez it</div><div>6. Slip into stealth and wait for mez to run down.</div><div>7. Right before mez runs out brazen thrust, guile, lung pucture, and backstab should be backup</div><div>8. Unload on the mob again!</div><div>9. Go back to step 3 and repeat.</div><div> </div><div>I've never had a yellow ^ last more than 3 rounds, sometimes 2, add about 20 secs in for downtime and you can almost solo a yellow ^ every 2 mins. At lvl 63 I was almost getting .5% a kill for them.</div><div> </div><div>notes</div><div>1. This really only works well with posions that don't have dot's on them, if you use a dot posion it will break your mez. I'm acctually liking the new posion types. Either the straight DD or the lifetap posion work great.</div><div>2. Might want to take off imbued pants or anything else that procs damage when you get hit. If mob has a dot on you and it procs it will break your mez.</div><div>3. With this method anyone can solo any thing up yelllow ^'s with ease. Orange is doable, but harder do to because of a lot of resists. </div><div>4. Mez duration is 22.5 secs with a 30 sec recast. Recast on backstab and lung puncture is also 30 secs. With the 4 sec stun on brazen thrust and the 2-6 sec on cheapshot the mob should only get 1-2 hits in a round if everything goes right.</div>

That pattern is familar to me - when i had a less than ideal setup and still if i'm fighting a group of heroics. But a yellow MOB solo? - i'll just stand my ground and cut it to ribbons..........<div></div>

<div></div>Sure a yellow one down arrow just go toe to toe with, but at least in KoS i'm finding if I don't use something like this the yellow one up arrows will tear through me pretty quickly. If you can just stand there and take it I'd like to know what kind of equipment you have <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div></div><p>With the introduction of life tap poisons, I can HIGHLY recommend stocking up on either Exceptional or Grandmaster Vitality Breach. Not only does it do dmg, but you get healed at the same time. Using a slight variant of the strategy above, I can end most white and below MoB fights at full health and most solo yellow MoBs at 3/4 or more... depending on proc.</p><p>Keep in mind that using the strategy above minimizes the usefulness of he WIS line's double attack and retaliation skills.</p><p>If that is your standard tactic, you are better investing in STR and STA.</p><p>Also keep in mind that a new variant for those of us who invested in the AGL line is to spin the MoB around and get off a quick backstab or two. It has a fairly quick refresh and once you have a few levels, if you're quick you can get two backstabs off... especially once you get the casting time lowered with the final AGL choice.</p>

Then head directly to South Queynos to buy at the very least some dd/dot poisons. Can buy baseline (pc-crafted ones are typically much better) poisons from npc merchants. Best place to buy npc poisons is in SQ, first building NE of entrance from nettleville hovel. Just be sure to go to appropriate poison merchant for your tier.</p><p>Message Edited by dagoo7 on <span class="date_text">03-08-2006</span><span class="time_text">06:04 AM</span></p>

They are a significant source of your overall DPS. Really.

Yellow down-arrow, no worries at all. Yellow up-arrow, I'm going to be looking pretty ragged by the end. Especially (as is often the case) if they attacked me first instead of the other way round (I do a ton of harvesting to get my jeweler-skill up - so fight a lot of unplanned fights). Walk the Plank has been so helpful for these (Lung Puncture - great for improving one's survivability). </p><p>Lunette</p>

<div></div><p>If you're not using poison, it's like cutting off one leg at the knee and one arm at the elbow.</p><p>Poison procs should account for around 30% of your dps. So if you're not using poisons, you're SEVERLY handicapping yourself.</p><p>In fact, most of us use MORE than one poison, since you can stack them.</p><p>I'm 64 and I use a life tap (DD to them, heal to us), a STR debuff or mitigation debuff and a attack speed debuff. </p><p>Now that my alchemist is up to 69, I'm going to start experimenting with different poisons and different mobs. I'm wondering if the defense debuff from the AGL debuff poison will help more against a yellow.</p><p> </p>

I can stifle, stun, debuff vs poison, debuff vs devine damage, high initial hit with low dot, moderate initial hit with decent dot and a couple other flavors.. I am looking forward to t7 and the revamped poisons, as they seem to be very nice..oh, and they add to your hate too <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></span></div>
