<div>What exactaly do buffs do that increase your dps by a set percent?  Does it only take auto-attack dmg into account or does it take all of our dmg into account i.e. auto-attack, posions, CA's</div><div> </div><div>For instance, one of our AA will increase out dps by 50% if we have a shield equiped at the max rank.  If this just increases that damage of our one weapon it won't make that big of differance, but if it takes us from doing 600dps total  to 900dps total (a 50% increase) that would be more than worth using a shield.</div>

<div></div><p>That really is just to help even out the use of one handed weapons for Swashbuckler that are tanking or doing something similar and want a shield anyways (not trying to say Swashbucklers are tanks, but some people duo with them and unless they are duoing with a Fighter, odds are they are the best people to be taking hits). It doesn't bring one handed weapons to doing the same damage as duel wielding, but it does put it pretty close. Some solo only players might also see losing a bit of damage for being able to use a shield desirable, too.</p><p>Just made up numbers, but say the damage rating of a dual wield weapon is 40 and a one handed is 50. Duel wielding two weapons means the rating it 80 and one handed weapon and shield with the 50% bonus would be at 75. Still less, but not as bad as a straight 50. Those aren't actual numbers from game, just illustrating the concept.</p>
