<div></div><div>After looking at the stats on the screenshots over in the tradeskill armorer forum, my question is what line of gear will be best suited for a swashbuckler.</div><div> </div><div>Options are:</div><div> </div><div>Pristine Forged Xegonite Brigandine: adds +23 STA, +23 WIS, +23 INT, +47 H, +47 P, 327 MIT on chest and legs, 305 MIT on the other 5 armor slots</div><div> </div><div>Pristine Forged Xegonite Melodic: adds +23 STR, +23 AGI, +23 INT, +47 H, +47 P, 327 MIT on chest and legs, 305 MIT on the other 5 armor slots</div><div> </div><div>Pristine Forged Xegonite Reverent: adds +23 STR, +23 WIS, +23 INT, +47 H, +47 P, 327 MIT on chest and legs, 305 MIT on the other 5 armor slots</div><div> </div><div>Pristine Imbued Xegonite Chainmail Chest and Legs: adds +23 STA, +23 WIS, +23 INT, +47 H, +47 P, 327 MIT, chest buff heals, legs buff inflicts heat damage. The rest of the Chainmail line does +23 STR, +23 AGI, +23 STA, 305 MIT on the other 5 armor slots. You can also just not get the chest and legs imbued, then the stats would be STR/AGI/STA instead of STA/WIS/INT.</div><div> </div><div>I know with the AA options coming out, we may have to rethink what stats we want to focus on. All I know is that I'm confused on what path I'll want to look at with what stats to focus on. The only time I really solo is when I do writs, other than that, I'm in a group with a plate tank and have my hate buff on him. I rarely gank agro, so I don't feel that I need the mitigation or the avoidance. My drop agro spells are adept 3 just in case I do get agro.</div><div> </div><div>Right now I'm leaning towards the Melodic lines of armor. I have a really good supply of all 7 resists, so when I do go on a raid, I can switch out to that gear. This Xegonite armor will be stuff I have on for 95% of my playing time. Granted, I'm leaning towards STR/AGI/INT only because of current game (pre-release of KoS) thinking on what stats to focus on. Once KoS hits, things will probably change again on us.</div><div> </div><div>I also wonder if all these lines of armor will offer a different look, or will they be in typical Sony fashion of having the same skins/color.</div><div> </div><div>Comments? Theories?</div><p>Message Edited by Oxie on <span class="date_text">02-20-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:18 PM</span></p>

<div></div>I don't see how devs could have said T6 fabled will beat T7 rare crafted, going on the fact that Xegonite chainmail (unimbued) beats the crap out of most of my gear, maybe, MAYBE the leggings of silvershadow over those legs, but I doubt it, somthing like 7str and about 20sta more, and more mitigation is worth a lot more than FT2. I want to see the damage on those weapons though, cause i'll be annoyed if they beat out fabled too.

<div></div><p>Damage on the weapons sucks:</p><p>Duals are 42 and 1H are 56.</p><p>T7 Crafted armor has nice stats but the mitigation sucks - nice for raiding but crappy for soloing.</p>

<div></div>There is no Resist on them. 0. Not good at all for a soloer <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

i seriously hope that the OP just neglected to put resists in. if they dont have resists then its kinda pointless, we'll just be swapping stats for resists on raids.

I havne't seen much hard data on jewelry, but my understanding is that armor gives stats, and jewelry gives resists, as far as t7 crafted is concerne.  So if all you had was crafted gear all you switch out is rings, wrists, neck etc.<div></div>

ahhh nice, makes it alot easier, i for one was tired of carrying around 2 boxes full or gear for raids.

<div></div><p>I can't help but wonder if the stats on the chainmail chest, legs are a bug and they were meant to be the same as the rest of that line, instead of same as Brigandine.  Seems pointless otherwise?</p><p>I'm not 100% happy with any of the choices.</p><p>Why no Str/Sta/Wis, that would have been my pick for raids.  Str for damage, Sta & Wis for standing up to AEs.</p><p>Otherwise I guess either chainmail, or melodic?</p>

<div></div>my understanding was that each set was suited to a particular class ie rogue, pred, bard or shammy, with pluses to skills on the armor, like +slash pierce and def on the rogue suited one, slash pierce and ranged on the pred one etc.

<div>last update i saw was here, <a target="_blank" href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=general_tradeskill&message.id=85754">http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=general_tradeskill&message.id=85754</a>.  where the armor now has 18 to each stat and has skill bonuses.</div><div> </div><div> </div>

<div></div><p>The lack of resists on the armor and stats on the jewelry makes the T7 gear all but not worth it.   People tend to overvalue STR/AGI increases over the value of resists.  Certain classes, that tend not to be hit by AE's or taking direct damage will probably not have to worry about it and love the the increased.</p><p>Mitigation wise this gear isn't a whole lot better than Cobalt.  Minus the resists means this is *not* good armor for a solo'ing swashy.  It is not a horrible suit of gear for a raiding swashy that excels at avoiding AE damage (jousts a lot).  However my number one problem right now on raids is the fact that my resists stink, as a result, getting my debuffs in is a real... heart-thudding experience.  If I had just 800 more resist in heat/cold/poison my surviveability would go up tremendously.  I'm going to have to think twice about this gear.</p><p>Next to the T7 fabled or T6 fabled, this gear is "entry level", right where the devs wanted it.  Leggings of Silvershadow are far more useful, even with the reduced stats.  That breastplate off the godking, or more T6 fabled chain chests that scouts would prefer to use > T7 crafted.  Arms/gloves/forearms/helms/boots have always been a mottlied collection of random pieces anyway and this gear fits in.</p><p>The lack of resists will be felt by solo'ers.  Most don't realize what their resists get them because they've always been there.</p>

<div>Thanks for linking that updated version of T7 crafted gear. I totally missed that thread. I really wish Sony would make up their minds on things. They flip flop more than a politician.</div>

<div></div><p>im planning on getting a full set of the rogue style armor with +1 to pierce/slash/ranged or what ever to sub in for equipment that does not have the right resists for the mob that we are fighting.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

Anyone have screenies of the armor actually worn?  I picked up a pristine xegonite melodic tunic the other day and it looks like a light purple version of the chestguard that drops off Godking.I'm curious if any of the T7 crafteds look like the 20th level quest armor and what color they would be if they do.<div></div>

<div></div>Lol.  You know what is really bad though... If the armor indeed looked like that you know how many people would be wearing that armor. Lol

<div></div>Better Red than that [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]gy purple they have been pushing on us.   Does anyone know if all three types of xegonite chest/legs can be imbued or just the standard forged version?

<div> I actually like the look.  Though I dont so much like the spikey shoulders.  Id like something more rounded or maybe with some kind of shaped look.  Just not spikes.  Overall pretty nice looking.  Just 20 or so levels before Ill be worrying about wearing it lol.</div>
