no one really know this atm. from what i can tell classes are going to have skill adjusted in pvp to balance things out.(we know how well soe balances things) my guess is initially about the same as we do now. but its going to change ALOT as the devs get a urge to adjust things. i think that gear is going to play a big role at first. for example i beat the crap out of a temp one fight, next fight he put on some t5 gear with dd procs and i barely got him to yellow before i beat mysleft to death. no way to really over come that from what ive seen, just kinda have to take your lumps. it also depends on how you play.

I expect a swash may to well (with the stealth and and backstabs and debuffs and all).

It's hard to say. Before that recent combat adjustment, or class adjustment I had great stealth. I got all the way into Solusk Eye at level 40 with a stealth ability, which name escapes me, I have not played in a few weeks. After the combat adjustment I hit pretty darn hard, but if I get hit I'm done. I guess taking that all into account mediocre lol.

I forgot to add that with the adjustment the stealth now is garbage.

Stealth works very well, the problem is that there are so many see stealth mobs in the game, its almost a useless skill.

Just chalk it up with all the others that sit virtually unused on our hotbars.

From what I have seen, stealth and invis auto break at the start of a duel, not much use using it if that happens.

add to this that our damage and interrupt skills have been cut in half, (ID and Advance line only procing off main hand, as well as poisons) our ability to take down someone quickly in a duel is now very limited and as you said, we get hit and we are pretty much done for.

Obviously this may change, but with the current announced ruleset, stealth is useless. You are visible if you are within 30 feet of another player any other player.

You go stealth before they can cast anything and they lose their target.

Greenion wrote up a good post regarding scouts in general...Titles "ask me questions while i eat pizza." or some such. There is a couple of posts in that thread with some good nuggets.

To answer your question the class has all the potential you could want.

Without being overdone.
