Any other daggers/slashers with Silverthorn's look?

I really like the ornate handguard on the Silverthorn - looks like it would match up with a Sabre's guard very well for RP purposes (well and damage too).  Since my Swashie is a long way from Poets, I was wondering if there are any daggers, or slashers for that matter, that had the same type of look in the lvl 30 to lvl 40 range.thanks in advance for any info<div></div>

Silverthorn's look is not *new* with DoF.  It existed at launch, I believe it was a 1-hander however.  I bought one off a merchant once to do some combat tests around 30th level, was part of the standard base 1-handed piercers.  I'll have to log in to check it.It does not  however, get used elsewhere.  My biggest beef from a weapon look standpoint is that the hilt style they used was more typically found on rapiers, not daggers or parrying daggers.   However in game they put it on a very short blade, which is traditionally very unusual, not unheard but just uncommon.  I'd prefer that hilt to be on a rapier style weapon.However I agree, it should be used a bit more.  Sure wish they had more varied hilt colors than the "gold" look as well.<div></div>

hmmm...I didn't even bother looking at 1handers (funny IIRC the parrying dagger for sale at standard merchants is a 1handed weapon - that dosent really make sense)I could understand off hand only (maybe throw in a bit of mitigation with less damage), but to my knowledge they haven't implemented that strategy in EQ2.And yes you're right - the basket on Silverthorn is really too ornate for a parrying type dagger.  The Spainish style Im looking for had the Rapier as the ornate piece with a matching parrying dagger done in the same style with a more robust hilt and handguard.The closest Ive seen in EQ2 are a sabre (at lower levels) and the Silverthorn (which is too high for my current swashy)Ahh well - at least there will be feathery hats !!  Here's hoping that the brims will be nice and wide (the ones displayed look a little too TriCornered for me).<div></div>
