<div>Recently I've been seeing a lot of posts about how the swashbuckler isn't scoring the highest DPS in parassers....</div><div> </div><div>Well, I just can't seem to work out why this is a problem?</div><div> </div><div>I started my swashbuckler as an alt and to be honest I haven't played my (old) main since.</div><div> </div><div>I'm loving my swashie!</div><div> </div><div>I don't really care if I'm not scoring the highest DPS in encounters, it's about having fun while you play.</div><div> </div><div>Sure, some could say that I'm only 49 and haven't yet ventured into the end game encounters (having only just got DoF a few days ago), but even when I'm 70, if I'm not getting top DPS it still won't worry me.</div><div> </div><div>Let's just remember it's not about whether as a class we outdamage everyone all the time, it's about enjoying the character itself....</div><div> </div><div>Well, that is my ever so humble opinion....</div>
This could be because of many things, but I was in a group in the Clefts with a lvl 54 Wiz and a lvl 52 Bruiser. I was consistantly doing 3-4 times as much damage as the Bruiser and 1.5-2 times as much as the Wizard. Neither of them out DPSed me. I guess it all depends on who it really is. I've not parsed a group I've been in yet that I've been outdamaged. Granted, I haven't looked through EVERY group, but still, we're up there.<div></div>

<div>I'm none too keen on the whole uproar of 'who does the highest DPS'. The peeps who do argue it, I say let them make fools of themselves as they already are. The game doesn't revolve around it.</div><div> </div><div>I, for one, have been enjoying playing Valarien since EQII came out long before LU13. Even then I was enjoying the game as I am now.</div><div> </div><div>Cheers!</div>

Fighter DPS really does depend on gear and CA's. My 42 Monk will/has fight a Assasin and Wizard for top DPS in groups But I have 9 Master I, 1 Master II and ever other skill is Adept III. All my weapons, armor and jewlery was the best I can find. But I have spent a ton of money on making him that good. The assasin and Wizard only have one or two Adept III and everything else was below. Now put an Assasin gears as well as myself and it's not even close. Same thing with the Wizard. Find me a Wizard with Ball of Flames line at Master I and my Monk would look like he's hitting the mobs with a fly swatter. It really does come down to upgrades. A good upgraded Tier 3 DPS can rank with a poor upgraded Tier 1 DPS.<div></div>

<div>I agree with Valarien. I do not care who has the biggest...DPS count. As long as I am having fun..thatis all that matters to me as a Swashy..and my swashy is now and will always be my main character.:smileyvery-happy:</div><div> </div><div>Davhanama Deeproot</div><div>Swashy on LDL</div><div>KOTO</div>

<div>Swashbucklers used to be puny but ever since the combat revamp you guys can hold your own. Tier two DPS helps groups out, and generally tanks can keep aggro away from you if you are doing what you are supposed to. </div>
